We've come here for lunch and happy hour. First lunch, it is crazy packed in here for lunch time so come here early. They have really good fried chicken plates and fried chicken burritos. I've been here twice for lunch. The second time I was here, my fried chicken was completely under cooked (it was so pink you could see it was raw even in the dark room). I had to bring it to the bar and they made another order for me. I can never finish a fried chicken plat or burrito by myself, you can always get a take out box for left overs. On to happy hour, this place was very quiet at 5 pm when it opened. We were the only table for a long time. Which was great because we got in our food order, then ordered some more food and drinks. Their happy hour menu is small but satisfying. They make tator tots just right and the bacon dog was good, it was just missing some onions and relish. Ended up waiting 10 minutes for my drink because they kept taking people's orders without serving them drinks, and then got super behind.
People at the bar were equally confused as we were, some even asking why they were taking drink orders without serving the drinks. Claimed this was...
Read moreI don't think the word gastropub is appropriate for the Hatch. I ordered a burger (after filling out a fixins sheet) and when it came out I was pretty disappointed. The slim patty looked like it had been thawed heated by someone not completely familiar with cooking. I was hungry, so I didn't complain. The Tatchos we're pretty bad. They came out under a pile of iceburg lettuce, watery canned jalapenos, and what resembled cheese wiz. There are some amazing new restaurants in the downtown area (almost too many to try them all) unfortunately the Hatch is not one of them. Unless they get their act together, I would spend your...
