Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Ocala

Very disappointed. Came to go through the drive thru but of course the line is to the road, and if you are in the middle lane trying to turn in, the cars coming from the opposite direction can just pull through right in front of you. After waiting and having 4 other cars pull in from the opposite direction not including the 2 cars that were already in front of me, I decide to leave cause at this rate, the line isn't moving and I will be there all night. I leave cause I decide to go somewhere else to eat. Couldn't think of nothing else so I decided to order Lee's online. Arrive after the time given to give them enough time to have my order ready just for me to get there, a long line inside, get to the register and my order still not ready. Now I'm frustrated because people in the line who ordered right then and there like 3 orders get their food before my online order that should of been ready before my arrival. The dipping sauce for the 2 strip meals I ordered was not in the bag (and having small children who don't like to eat without sauce now their upset) and no silverware. Once we got home to eat, the food was cold and the chicken taste old. I am very empathetic when it comes to essential workers, but this experience took me over the edge. Though I did not display my anger there, I know the cashier Madison could see my frustration. She was very nice and sweet and that did make the situation a little better and I appreciated that. I can't say that I won't ever eat there again, but it will be a long time before I eat...

Lee’s chicken is the BEST!!! The Silver Springs Blvd is my favorite location. The employees are exemplary! Kiara took my order today and remembered my name even after I’d been sitting at the dining table for an hour waiting on a family member to text me a to go order! She remembered that I told her I would be placing a to go order and went out of her way while she was cleaning the dining area to help me place the to go order after I was done with my dine in meal even when she didn’t have to (as there were other staff at the register)! The fact that she went above and beyond is commendable. The manager was very friendly and it was obvious they take customer service seriously! If you love fried chicken and you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out! The original recipe is divine! Oh and they have a weekday lunch special of a thigh and leg with two sides and a drink that’s only $7 with taxes! That’s amazingly cheap considering how good the food is and it’s a large...

I feel like someone here went to Chick-fil-A, saw how things could be done, and tried to apply the lesson.

The staff is very, very nice. Even though this is fast food, they tell you to sit and bring you your meal. Very helpful if you need anything. Ordinarily, I don't tip for fast food, because no one should get a tip for handing you a greasy bag, but Lee's provides some service.

The chicken is excellent. Really hard to criticize. Unlike KFC, it tastes good. Unlike Popeyes, you can count on getting food, and nothing crazy will happen.

The potato wedges could be crisper, but they taste good. The mac and cheese is good but could be improved. The slaw is fine. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich. They need to offer pepper jack cheese. Is it as good as Chick-fil-A or Popeyes? Hard to say, so it must be pretty good.

The atmosphere is peaceful, and they keep the air nice and cool.
