Bob's Grill, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner — Restaurant in Ocean City

CASH ONLY ALERTI will start by saying this restaurant is perfectly suited for some people, but not others. It depends what you value. If you are willing to pay extra to sit down quickly, have elbow room, and be served mediocre food with a smile, this place will suit you well. If you want good food, fair pricing, or are willing to wait a little to get in a place, go somewhere else. In my experience, they offered friendly and reasonably quick service. The food however was mediocre at best (except the donuts; they are good), and the prices are high, even when being at the shore is considered. We went here for breakfast. It is mostly a la cartel, but they have a small list of complete breakfast specials, and all have something odd, like 2 eggs and meat with no potatoes ($10), or 2 eggs and potatoes with no meat ($9). Feel free to add an extra side though... If you want a very standard 2 eggs and bacon with potatoes, toast, and coffee, you're going to pay about $14 depending how you order it. Same food, different ways to order... I ordered the creamed beef with 2 eggs special. Quite surprised to find it was only one slice of thin cheap white toast, and tasted like it was fresh out of the freezer isle of a local discount supermarket (worst creamed beef I've had at a restaurant by far). Point being, there are NO deals here. Also, there is NO kids menu. My wife ended up sharing with the 4 year old. She ordered blueberry pancakes, which included very few actual blueberries, and were not of any notable size. My kid has been served larger pancakes in a kids meal at my local diner in Philadelphia. Add to this, it is cash only, but they've got 2 stately ATMs they will charge you to access cash from, increasing the expense even more. My family will not be returning. If there was a zero star i would have rated it a 0. The experience was awful. I can take bad service and good food or even good service and bad food, but this was the ultimate worst place i have ever been in my life, the food was terrible and the waitress was even worse. We ordered a cheesesteak hoagie which i will post a picture of and chicken fingers and fries and this is what we got and then when we told our waitress the order was wrong and the food was unacceptable she never came back to our table except to hand us a 50$ check and walk away when none of the food was consumed at all. She didn’t offer us boxes or something else which i didn’t want but it was just the hospitality for me of just completely disregarding us. We left all of the food on the table and this is what it looked like when we left. We will never ever go to this place again and i will make sure everyone i know steers very clear of it as well. I do not usually complain, but our service this morning was terrible! We sat for 10 minutes without anyone coming to us. Finally, i flagged a waitress who gave us menus. After another 7 minutes, i flagged a second waitress who took our drink order. Both promised our server would he right with us. During this time, we tried fo flag another, who ended up being our server. She didn’t even make eye contact. Continued to bring stuff to other tables, including one that was JUST seated. We finally went to the manger, who sent our server over. No hello, no apology. Just took our order. Brought our food. Never came back until i asked for the check, which she handed to me over my shoulder from the register. When i paid, the manger asked about our experience. I told him.
