Manco and Manco is my family’s all time go to for sliced italian dinner. This particular night, me and my dining acquaintance enjoyed a swell feast. My water was served in a tiny clear plastic cup and my food paper plates, but I understand. Sometimes you just have to save money. Manco 9th is by far better in almost every way but the line was approximately 26 persons too long for my liking. Either way, my basic plain slice was downright divine. The sauce to ooey gooey cheese was a perfect 2.3:1, which is perfect by the way other reviewers who appear to dissent. The crust was pretty spar, again an aspect other reviewers seem to critique. My acquaintance ordered the same as I, plus a large lemonade and pepperoni slice. While the lemonade was spar, the pepperoni slice was slightly below. Yes, the traditional flavs were shining as usual, but there were far too many peps and subsequently far too much grease. This led to increased floppage on the crust which effectively split the slice along an incredibly obtrusive fault line. The lemonade was actually good, but my acquaintance was noted as being really thirsty. The table’s seasoning options were beyond my expectations. I should know because I tried all of them at once. Do not recommend. It was about then that I heard a sound that can only be described as a baby whale’s mating call come from the kitchen. Anyway, I enjoyed myself. Reasonable pricing. “This pizza is exactly as I always remember it—end quote”. -my dining...
Read moreMay be the worst pizza I've ever had. Veggie pizza slice had micro chopped onions and peppers and a few mushrooms. All bagged or canned - morning fresh. Little to no red sauce and what there was had no taste. Little to no cheese and again, tasteless. Crust had so much oil that it tasted fried rather than baked. 1 normal sized slice was $8.
Cesar salad was also not terribly fresh, served with to much cheese sliced too thick, packaged croutons and simply awful dressing.
The restaurant is not terribly clean due to the crowds and high turnover. Servers are just doing their job, not friendly but certainly not rude. Runners throw you food at you and leave quickly without a word. No one comes back to see if all is ok.
The place always seems to be crowded, but...
Read moreWe were disappointed today & the last few times we ate @ Manco & Manco. Today we ordered a bottle h20 never expecting it to cost us $4!!! Outrageous - I understand everything is going up but this is ridiculous! Take off the stupid marketing logo & sell good old h20! Other places in the boards are selling bottle h20 for a lot less!
Secondly - we feel the staff is more worried about turning the table than providing awesome customer service - they drop the check without asking if we want another slice! Every server does this AND one guy will take your money and never return with the change * assuming the rest was his.
In the past we would go out of our way for a slice - now we are just as happy going to Angelo's where we are a...
