I was lucky to be assisted by Anthony's son Alex who amazed me with his knowledge and professionalism! I was looking for a special necklace for my daughter-in-law's 30th birthday, and Alex listened to every word I said when I explained the kind of necklace I was hoping to find. Alex made some great suggestions and told me all the details about each piece as I was browsing. I was just about to leave the store, thinking maybe I should just continue shopping the boardwalk until I could decide, when Alex suggested I look at the custom pieces his dad Anthony designs, all of which include real Ocean City sand. I was intrigued! Alex continued to carefully pull each piece out of the display case, and answered every question I had. At first I wasn't sure whether I wanted the starfish or the flip flop and couldn't make up my mind. Alex pointed out the while a starfish is a great symbol of the ocean, it's the flip flops that we see every day on the beach. Perfectly said! When I settled on the flip flop pendant, he then offered me different size chains to make sure I had the perfect one. But Alex wasn't done yet. He then called my attention to the flip flop bracelet, which I couldn't pass up, so I bought that as well. You might think I'm describing a young man in his 20's- but my guess is that Alex is no more than 12 or 13! What a delight to be assisted by such a dedicated young man who represented his father so professionally. I will definitely be back to shop at The Jewelry Hut now that I had such a great shopping experience. I can't wait to give these amazing Ocean City treasures to my daughter-in-law for her...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE!! I went here for a daith piercing a couple weeks ago and he marked it in the completely wrong spot and i asked him if he does daith piercings and more info about them because he seemed hesitant and like he didn’t know what a daith is and he completely brushed off any questions and concerns i had and we were going to show him a picture of what i wanted but he claimed he knew what i was talking about i asked him more than once to move the markings to the right spot but every time they weren’t in the right place. I ended up with a weirdly placed forward helix and it was the most pain i’ve ever had getting a piercing with also the wrong jewelry for that kind of piercing. Now i paid 60$ to have two huge irritation bumps that i can’t get rid of and they are likely to turn into hypertrophic scarring. if i were you i’d go to a reputable piercer and do research on who you go to and what you’re getting. Update: i talked to a professional and reputable piercer and i had to get it professionally removed. worst piercing experience...
Read moreI have gotten lobe and cartilage piercings here, both healed up nicely. The actual ear piercing comes free with the purchase of certain earrings. Lobe piercings start at $7 per pair and cartilage costed under $30 per piercing (both involve a piercing gun). Piercing aftercare is also available for purchase at around $7. The shop is clean and seems to be family operated. They also sell a wide variety of other jewelry and beach-y trinkets. Everyone is friendly and very helpful with a good sense of humor. Overall, this is a great place for ear piercings on the boardwalk with prices that are hard to beat! Note- it sounds like the employees who do the piercings are not always on shift, so it might be worth checking in to see what time they are open...
