Beach Club Suites — Hotel in Ocean City

We had very high hopes for this hotel but we're very disappointed and felt a bit scammed. We had reserved a Queen Suite with the kitchenette for 7 days.

Here were the issues:

The website description for our suite said "daily housekeeping", when we were only provided new towels and garbage removal 3 of our 7 days even though we had the "please make room up" sign on our door daily. We actually had to call to get the room serviced.

The website description listed a "heated pool". 2 of the nights we stayed it dipped into the mid-60s and the pool was too cold to go into. Why list a heated pool if it's not heated?

On day 4, our room key cards were deactivated during our stay. We called down to the front desk they said we had to all go to the lobby for new ones. With 3 little kids that is tough with all our beach stuff. You think they would at least bring up new key cards since it obviously their fault. We didn't even get an apology.

There wasn't any security over the access to the boardwalk pool. There were about 7 college kids that came from off the street and waited to gain access then wouldn't leave. It took the staff a while to deal with the issue.

For the money we paid for this suite for a July week, I hoped for a better experience. We had better luck at other places...

This place was great for a full week Sat-Sat stay. Clean, clean, clean. Good size room with 2 comfortable queen beds, a pull out couch, full bath, full size refrigerator, microwave, stovetop and dishwasher. Convenient spot on the boardwalk (a little south of amusements quieter and easily accessible to main boardwalk attractions) and easy access to the beach. The pool for the suites was a little small, but not at all crowded and a great place to eat lunch/dinner or hang out after a day at the beach - we actually hung out there 2 days. Bigger pool at sister hotel is also available. Front and back balcony made storing beach cart and chair etc extremely convenient. Went to hotel restaurant for breakfast only - 2 times sit down 1 time easy take out breakfast. 2nd floor was awesome - easy access elevator, room stayed cool and no bugs, ants, at all. Consistent and easy...we’ve been staying at the BCS for our family vacations to Ocean City for the past three years. The rooms are always clean and the pool is very nice. Also the location is just perfect being just a short walk to the boards and the beach. I have a few minor complaints...they are sticklers for their 1 car policy even when the hotel is at 50% capacity. They should be more flexible. Also, they have a nice pool area with new furniture which would be great for some late night relaxing but they lock the gate and close off the pool at 9pm. ||So with a couple of tweaks and they could be at a five but you really can’t...
