Ike's Famous Crabcakes — Restaurant in Ocean City

We definitely won't be back. We drove over two hours for mother's day to visit the restaurant and boardwalk. The service was horrible in the restaurant as it was outside when I contacted the business about the issues we had. My concerns were met with rudeness and excuses. We ordered food to go, and 2 more parties ordered 10 ish minutes after we did. They got their food within 5-10 minutes while we continued waiting. It took 30 minutes to get our food. If it was going to be such a long wait we wouldn't have minded if the food was at least edible and we were warned prior. Neither of which happened. The kids meals say on the menu posted next to their front door that the kids meals DO include a drink, however the girl who brought the food said they didn't and "the menu is wrong" and walked back inside. The fish and chips was sub par at best and came with no sauce options at all. The chicken sandwich was truly burnt to a crisp. It was black on all of the edges making it so dry it was inedible. I just threw it away. Whoever is in charge of responding to feedback obviously needs a lesson in customer service and accountability, as they lack both. We will absolutely never return after wasting $65 there, the once was...

Update: I couldn't get the horseradish sauce out of my mind, so we went back to get a jar and decided to order the chips with Crab dip (around $16). The chips and bacon were plentiful, but the crab dip was sparingly drizzled over the chips - nothing like the amount you get for the pretzel.

2 orders of 2 crab cakes, 1 fish taco, 1 fish & chips, and a Bavarian pretzel. With a group that doesn't normally finish everything, yet our baskets were all emptied here. Delicious. (Though my uncle said the crab cakes weren't the same as he remembers)

I personally fell in love with their horseradish sauce. Used it on everything (pretzel, crabcakes, and their homemade chips)

Only 2 downs. First, a good portion of our chips came out soggy/moist. 2nd, my 10 year old ordered the poke bowl expecting to receive chips and coleslaw because it's under a category in the menu that says it comes with those. Food was horrible. Me and my 2 friends ordered grilled shrimp which was disgusting to them. And I ordered an cod fish tacos with fried shrimp and bothered orders were nasty (mind you the orders came up to almost $90). We took the food back just for them to tell me because I didn’t bring the platter back I couldn’t get a refund. I even showed a picture of the food on the ground waiting for the seagulls to eat it. She had the nerve to tell me “ you could have put it there to take the picture then picked it back up. That was the most disgusting thing I’ve heard why in the actual f would I put my food on the ground in between trash just to pick it back up to eat it. So my friend bought her platter back which I paid for with my debit card. She insured us that my money will be placed back on the card and I have yet to receive my money.
