I wasn't gonna leave a bad review at all since I thought that maybe I was wrong for feeling the way I did but I asked several people who work in restaurants and they have all agreed with me. This thing happened way before COVID but since this place left a very bad impression on me, I decided to get this off my chest. I once went in this place with my mom and my small chihuahua and I was carrying my dog in my arms and I asked my mom what she wanted and I ordered for her and paid.. and as soon as I paid, the cashier guy told me we couldn't eat inside because of my dog. I honestly should've spoken up but I just said, OK.. but I didn't like that he waited until I paid to tell me that we couldn't eat inside because of my small dog...and I felt like he cared more about making a sale than to be honest upfront and tell us that we couldn't eat inside BEFORE I placed my order and paid. I did not like this. As an animal lover, I can understand that there are businesses that don't allow pets inside but he should've told me from the beginning.. instead he waited until I paid and since my mom was also hungry, I just let it go but I never forgot about this uncomfortable experience and it really made me feel bad since this day I had gone on a trip to Oceanside and took my mother and just wanted to have a good time. I won't ever, ever recommend this place because they care more about making a sale than to be honest from the start. Also, my mom didn't end up liking the food.. I'm not saying this 'cause I'm salty but I wish I would've just canceled my order and taken her to a different place she could've...
Read moreI went to Senor Pancho's some years back before my marketing internship before lunch and decided to get the chilaquiles with a side salad and refried beans. The refried beans had a nice texture and consistency with it.
The tortillas for the chilaquiles were crunchy and the flavor was tasty. The salad was very refreshing and broke up the heaviness of the dish.
I poured too much hot sauce on the chilaquiles and ended up messing up the flavor of the chilaquiles. I was sweating by the end of it.
The atmosphere of the place is a bit dated and could use some revamping as there are noticeable infrastructure issues.
It is conveniently located along the 101 along with the other more chef-driven places that have made the media headlines.
The service was decent.

Read moreI was really fiending for some sustenance after my run, and I haven't been here in a LONG time. So I decided to make the drive. As I ordered lightning crashed from the skies, I handed my credit card to the cashier and he returned it. Suddenly, from the heavens, the clouds parted, an angel flew down from heaven and told me "Fear not, for here is your delicious California Burrito, for the Señor art with you, amen." As I bit into it, I began levitating from my seat, my euphoria overcame me, and I entered full zen. I blacked out for 5 seconds, and after I came to, the entire burrito and the quesadilla I had ordered were gone. There's a reason why this place has good reviews. It's an absolutely brick house of a burrito....
