I arrived without a reservation on a Sunday evening. I thought there would be a wait, but I was seated immediately in a booth. I was given chips and salsa pretty quickly. Then my waitress asked for my drinks and food. I noticed that I could do a Mule with mezcal instead of vodka, so I went with that (11 dollars). I also asked about whether the chicken fajita quesadilla (17.50) would be filling and she said yes, so I went with that for my entree. My drink came quickly. It was quite refreshing with a great ginger flavor from the beer and liquor. However I think it overpowered the mezcal as I didn't notice the smoky flavor as expected. I also didn't notice much alcohol until the end, which was quite boozy afterwards. Still, it was a pretty good drink. What really surprised me was that my quesadilla also came pretty quickly. Thus, I was pretty sure the chicken fajita and veggies must have been premade. The chicken was a bit chewy and lacked the grilled flavor that I hoped for. However, the veggies made it up with the green bell peppers and onions. There could have been a bit more cheese inside the quesadilla, but overall it was above average and filling as promised. I asked for double rice instead of beans and the rice was satisfactory. It also came with sour clean and guacamole, which I enjoyed. The service was very quick and pretty helpful. If I ate fast, I could have been in and out within 30 - 45 minutes. But I decided to finish slowly and enjoy it, and was not rushed at all. The bill was handled directly at my table, where I can privately add the tips and sign. The atmosphere was casual and family friendly. There wasn't too much of a crowd, but you can hear the people chatting. It wasn't too loud as I could hear the faint Mexican pop music in the background. I did hear some kids in the background, and there was one across my booth possibly playing peek-a-boo with me. There was a TV near my booth, but it only showed cooking and food that they offer (possibly advertising). There was some outdoor seating as well. Azteca D'oro is a good chain in Orlando for Mexican food. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, it still offers good food and drinks. Since it is not too far from Metrowest, it is another good choice for Mexican food.

Headed back to Tampa from east Orlando we decided to stop here for lunch around 2:30. Everything about our experience was 5 stars. First the decor and bar were outstanding. We were greeted right away and sat instantly. Our server (Gian) was no nonsense and very proficient. He had two margaritas , a corona and a glass of EHT bourbon to our table within 5 minutes. The margaritas were perfect and they did not skimp on the alcohol. We had fresh guacamole made table side also within 5 minutes of sitting down. We ordered Chile relleno, chimichangas and tacos all which came out within 15 minutes or less. The food was absolutely amazing and everyone said their selection was five stars. The tequila list was incredible with selections such as Clase Azul, Rey sol, don Julio 1942 , Herradura, Cabo wabo, tres generaciones and many more. But what blew this visit away for me was 4 bourbons I noticed sitting on the top shelf. Colonel EH Taylor, Blanton’s , Stagg Junior and Eagle rare. Those of you bourbon connoisseur’s or fans know these are very hard to find and you won’t find them on a retail liquor shelf. The EH Taylor will sell for $200.00 a bottle Blanton”s for $125.00. I was able to get a solid pour of EH Taylor For $13. I might drive back to Orlando just for dinner at Azteca de Oro.

A great place with happy, welcoming people! We must admit that it was not or first choice for this type of food as we always went to Don Pablo's. But, when the folded were began the search for a replacement and Azteca d'Oro fit the bill. We have not been disappointed in anything we've ordered here yet; the food has been top notch and fast to come out, the drinks are always cold and delicious. One thing they have here that we have not seen at any other restaurant if this type is a Mariachi band. The band schedule seems to be from 6-9 on Friday and Saturday nights and 2-5 on Sunday. We've paid close attention to the band schedule as we don't care to be there at those times because they are very loud. Many people do enjoy them and they are good, though. The really big plus to us is the ALL DAY SUNDAY HAPPY HOUR! 😁🍹🍺

What can I say. I visit this restaurant location often and I've never had a bad experience until today, October 27 2024. The manager on duty during happy hour should be terminated immediately. Myself and friend frequent this location often after Sunday games. We arrived and were seated as normal. Service exceptional until two tables behind us, a birthday party was extremely loud. So loud that we couldn't even hear each other speak to each other at our table because the group was so rowdy. We said something to our server and she informed us that the manager had addressed it. It didn't take long before the loud yelling started again. I flagged the manger over and she basically said was blaming us for addressing her over the matter. I told her she has no control over her restaurant and that myself and our group would not be paying for the meal. She was blaming me for being loud with her over the issue she couldn't control. This rowdy table even had some standing on chairs and trying to dance on the table!!!! It was unreal! But When she refused to address the matter and control her restaurant, my group and I got up and walked out. No way was I going to be treated as such when I'm a regular and have a manager not control the restaurant. I didn't get her name because she had no name tag on. We likely racked up $150 bill between our group and we simply got up and walked out. We were chased out by servers and we informed them that it isn't fair to them or to our server for this, but the manager is the one to blame. We were also not the only party to get up from their tables, get in their cars and leave. I've never walked out of any establishment without paying, but this warranted it. I hope this manager is terminated and with the amount of money and food that went to waste and her staff not getting paid because of her inability to manager is a wake up call for her superior. She needs to be terminated immediately. Will I go back to this restaurant? Highly unlikely and it's a shame because we are regulars there. Again, it is Sunday, October 27 and the manager on duty during the afternoon/happy hour shift needs to be gone. This was an absolute embarrassment for the restaurant with such a great reputation and quality...

If I could give zero stars I would. I first want to say that this has nothing to do with the amazing servers especially our server Jackie. They are absolutely great!! This has entirely to do with the manager on duty here today, Sunday October 27th around 4:30/5pm. Our group has been regulars at this restaurant and location since you opened. We come 4-5 times a month and have always had an amazing time. Our experience today has made it that we will not be returning to this restaurant. The meal started off great, our server Jackie was amazing. However, there was a birthday party of around 20 who were clearly drunk and so loud that we couldn’t even talk amongst ourselves and they were four tables away from us. Somehow they continued to be served alcohol. We mentioned it to Jackie and she mentioned that the manager supposedly had already talked to them. However, they “quieted” down for roughly five minutes and then got louder. This time standing on chairs to take pictures, screaming to each other and just overall being extremely loud and disrespectful to everyone in the restaurant who was trying to enjoy a meal. The problem only got worse when we flagged down a manager and brought up the issue. Our party had to speak loudly because that is the only way she would have been able to hear us over the other party. However, she then blamed us for talking to her about the issue. This manager was rude, disrespectful and has zero control over the restaurant. If you do not have the ability to control situations such as this, you should not be a manager. This complete lack of basic managerial ability is beyond unprofessional. Allowing this party to continue to be super loud while continuing to serve them alcohol reflects poorly on the restaurant. The servers you could tell were just as frustrated and upset about the situation as we were. I hope the amazing servers at this restaurant find a different restaurant that has a supportive manager who is able to control a restaurant and deal with...
