I moved to Florida 22 yrs ago. I heard through my customers that Waffle House was an excellent place for breakfast. My first experience was at the Waffle House on Hwy 50 & Hiawassee in Orlando. A sight that has been there for some time. I found the food excellent and staff was even better. I had a excellent experience & the prices were good on the menu. Approximately 10 yrs ago I met John T. He greeted me with a welcome to the Waffle House & he made me feel at home. He is very professional, courteous & polite. He took excellent care of me as far as service and I noticed he took good care of his other guests. I've had such a good experience with John & I will always go to the Waffle House where he works. Also would like to mention my brother-n-law comes down twice a year from Vancouver Canada. He's a Captain of Air Canada & he loves the Waffle House. We go every time he comes down from Canada several times. We make sure John T is working when we go there. The food and service from John T is great! My grandson is 10 years old & I haven taken him to the Waffle House for the last 5 years. We always call ahead to check if John T is working because he is very fond of him. John T treats him like family & shows him a lot of respect. He treats him like a young man instead of a little kid. John always talks to him about school, sports & how well he is doing. My grandson loves it. There are times when the whole family comes with us & we all really enjoy the new location in Ocoee. KUDOS to John T & the Waffle House! We have recently met Jay & we are very impressed with her as a server. We always noticed she is either working with her guests or she is cleaning to get ready for her other guests. As we sit there, we observe other guests there & if I notice they are stressed with what ever may be bothering them, I call a server over & I discreetly pay for their meal hoping they will have a better day. As a business man of 50 years, I find a one star rating hard to accept for John T or Jay. I think if you treat your server with high respect & tip them accordingly they will never forget you. If I owned a Waffle House franchise, John T would definitely be one of my managers. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Try this, you may have a...

All other tables were empty and 3 tables needed cleaning.I complained about the condition of the tables and floors to a employee and he said they had been very busy. The manager walked thru and asked how are you. I asked her are you the manager and she replied yes. The manager asked me was i alright and i told her no! She did not say anything else to me but gave some instructions to an employee about cleaning up and left her restaurant eventho there was tables still needed to be cleaned and still crums on floor and under tables. I ordered a steak breakfast and took it to go. I paid $15 and my steak was tuff.. I was so disappointed and mad. This was the second time i had vesited this new waffle house and was not impressed. I have vesited the waffle house restaurant on hiawassee and 50 and was never disappointed, the food was always good and...
Read moreMy family and I went to Waffle House to get something to eat before we took a 20 hour car ride back home to NY. Most disrespectful people I’ve ever met. We walked in and asked for a table for 7. People kept walking in after us and kept being seated. After 45 minutes finally they cleared a table that is meant for 4 people. We were squished and our waitress could see that so she told us to pull up a chair for one person. The whole time the lady wearing a pink cap talked about it. Making a big deal. It took us no longer to eat than 40 minutes after we were seated and the entire time she was pointing her finger at my mom sitting at the edge of the table on chair. One of the ladies came up to us and said next time you come in you can sit somewhere else. As if we were the ones that seated ourself. We made it clear it’s 7 of us. No accountability at all. Sitting on a chair is not a crime. All employees need to practice customer service. Food was basically anything you could make at home. Really was not worth it for...
