Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Oconomowoc

This is the second time we've dined at this Chili's. The first was mediocre at best, but nothing that maybe an off night couldn't account for. Tonight however was even worse. When we arrived the hostess informed us it was "seat your self" but there was a corner booth to fit our family of 6 if we wanted it. We got there and the table was dirty. We asked if someone was sitting there, she apologized multiple times and cleaned the table. She handled this situation great and this was not why we were disappointed whatsoever. The food was also great, temperature was appropriate and it all tasted good. Because of this, i'm not giving it 1 star. Our server however was completely inattentive. We didn't have silverware for 3/4 of our meal or napkins. One of our kids orders was messed up as well. She literally spoke with us in passing as she was headed elsewhere and rarely stopped to actually engage us. She'd rush by drop off whatever and keep going. She even talked to us this way giving us a second to let her know what we needed. We got better service from the waitress who brought us our actual meal. The other issue was the bathrooms. The restaurant was clean, but the bathroom was another story. The handicap stall had toilet paper everywhere, except where it actually belonged. Then both of the paper towel dispensers were jammed. While we were in the bathroom, a worker came in so we did inform her and she took care of it right away but about three other workers came in with her to help. Didn't really see how it took four people to handle but maybe this is why service was so terrible. Chili's is a family favorite but unfortunately we will not be returning to this one. If you like being in a deadzone with no phone reception and WiFi doesn't work even tho they offer it, then this place is for you. It's the Bermuda Triangle of restaurants. Main reason why our family doesn't eat here. The not having WiFi/phone/internet service is a huge deal when you have young children on the spectrum with behavioral problems who can't behave or focus unless they have access to using their tablets to play games and so the internet is very necessary, for our family to get thru a grueling task which should be alot easier with accommodations such as internet/WIFI. And if you're a service worker for a food delivery service, be prepared for not being able to get your work app to load your customers name so you know who's order to pickup, not being able to mark the food as picked up, not being able to receive a second order for a double,.... You literally have to drive away with the order down the road before it can be marked as picked up and before you can even get GPS to load directions to the customers home. These little hickups due to no internet turn into huge problems at times. I've stopped accepting orders for this restaurant location. Until they fix the issue. Upon discussion with the workers at the restaurant, it sounds like the problem has been tried to be fixed with no avail so they aren't doing anything more to help the situation. This issue needs to be professionally looked into by an internet provider service who can maybe put a mini tower on top...

I’ve never been to Chili’s. I’m 75 years old. I took my sons there and their families for a birthday celebration so there was only eight of us. I never had such a fun wonderful time at a restaurant. I’m very picky. I’m a chef and I do all kinds of meals up to 500 people Sometimes for weddings. I sat there and this waiter came right up to me while I was waiting for everybody he was there every I would say five minutes asking if everything was OK what else we needed and then like three people waited on us and it must’ve been a manager that came over and said how is everything. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was so good. My boys who are 34 loved it even the kids loved their food. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the excellent friendly service. It was so excellent because a lot of restaurants the waitresses or waiters are so rude and unfriendly. These people were amazing. I just can’t tell you or thank you enough for the wonderful evening. We had you have an excellent place and excellent staff and I really appreciate this. I would go on and on, but I better not. Your food was amazing. I get to Enjoy my leftovers tonight while I watch a Christmas movie thank you thank you thank you...
