Gabriel's Taqueria-Truck #2 — Restaurant in Oconomowoc

Disappointed with my visit to Gabriel’s Taco Truck #2

I was really looking forward to trying Gabriel’s Taco Truck #2 in Oconomowoc, but unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired.

Right off the bat, I noticed all the prices on the menu were blacked out. When I asked if they had a menu with prices, I was told no. That made it really difficult to know what I was ordering or how much I was being charged. Transparency matters—especially when ordering from a food truck.

I ordered a ground beef taco salad with sour cream and mild salsa on the side. I was asked if I wanted mild or hot salsa and chose mild, but what I received was definitely hot—too spicy for me. As for the salad itself, it was incredibly underwhelming. No taco shell, no chips, just a handful of lettuce, some ground beef, a tiny sprinkle of white cheese, and a few lime wedges. It looked and tasted like something thrown together without much care.

The ground beef was also extremely salty, which made it tough to enjoy. I also ordered a ground beef burrito, and somehow the total came to $32. For a taco salad and a burrito? With no idea of how the price broke down, I walked away feeling completely ripped off.

Sadly, this visit was a letdown on all fronts—value, flavor, and service. I don’t see myself going back or recommending...

Can't expect much from a food truck. Price was reasonable. Language barrier big time. They got my order wrong even tho I repeated multiple times to add cheese and nopal cactus and a side of green mild sauce. I received no cheese, no napal cactus, and some red hot sauce. I took the food back up to the counter and gave them back the red sauce and said again I'd like the mild green sauce. They gave me the sauce. Then I asked for cheese and napal cactus. They put cold cheese on my hot taco. And handed it back to me. Still no napal cactus. They were laughing at me the whole time because I think they were stoned out of their minds on marijuana. I asked again politely for napal cactus and even pointed to the menu where it advertised they had some. They continue to laugh and act like they don't understand what I'm even talking about. It was a very frustrating and embarrassing situation for me to be in, especially because I sat there at the table to eat my tacos. So I had to sit there and look at them and think about how they were laughing at me that whole time. I don't feel good about this place and I'm not going to bring my money here next time I'm hungry I'll go somewhere...

Several weeks ago I placed an order for dinner through the online ordering system to pick up. After finally arriving to pick up the order, the truck was closed. I dialed the number and no one picked up the phone (I could hear the phone ringing from outside of the truck). While waiting, several other individuals showed up to knock on the door. I informed them it appeared to be closed. I called the other location (Truck #1) and informed them of this and either I need to pick up my food there or have the order canceled. They informed they would call back. I attempted to call back once I didn't get a call and no one answered. I still have a charge on my credit card for $48.06 weeks later. I now have to file a dispute with my bank to have these charges removed. I have been a loyal customer to Gabriel's and it is disappointing this issue has not...
