LoLo Hawaiian BBQ - Ogden — Restaurant in Ogden

Me and my husband have been going here for awhile. They always gave generous portions so you could eat it all how it's supposed to be eaten (some meat, some rice, some Mac salad) we have never had a problem before. They were always wonderful, we literally had them cater our wedding rehearsal dinner. Then today my husband gets our usual and brings it home for dinner. We live about 30 minutes away, when he gets home, they only put one scoop of Mac salad each, one little Itty scoop. When I called to ask what was going on, the guy I spoke to was outrageously mean, treated me like I was scum to him and he could care less. He said it only includes 1 scoop and that's it. I tried informing him we never ordered more Mac salad and I was thinking something had to have changed. He didn't care and said I just couldn't remember that I ordered extra Mac salad. So I let it go and disconnected the phone. From now on I will still eat here, but I will expect terrible service and cold heartless people. I will never recommend them again because of the service.

In response to owner: I did try to contact the manager. The reply she gave me is that everyone is new and we should not have had the portions we had, and the employee that spoke to me was also new and didn't know how to handle difficult customers. She did try to give me a free meal (which I am not going to take). I feel like giving me the excuse that everyone is new employee didn't make any sense. Ok, so this could have easily been a higher rating, unfortunately their customer service is quite lacking, but I'll start with the food. The rice was good..... Now to the customer service... Like so many during the pandemic, we chose to have our meal delivered (by Ubereats). I don't have experience with food delivery myself, however, from what I assume, the restaurant prepares the food per order, bags it up and seals it so ensure it's not tampered with during transit..... The delivery person isn't responsible for sorting through our food to make sure everything is there, right?? So when my order was missing items and I called to have it fixed, I was told there was nothing they could do because I ordered through Ubereats.... Again I could be wrong, but I thought my $70 order was paid to LoLo and the $20 I paid for delivery and tip went to Ubereats??? None the less, considering the fact I paid $70 for their food, they could eat the $6.00 for the missing item, regardless of who took the payment, that's customer service 101. So while I may have considered giving their dry chicken and flavorless macaroni a second chance some other day, I will never patron this establishment again. Perhaps they could care less about one review, but I will also be sure to tell others about my experience and recommend Mo'Bettas or Rumbi 100 times over. Edit: I'm taking a star off due to the handling of online order pickup. It's practically nonexistent. We placed our order online with a 30 minute window and arrived at the time the website told us our order would be ready. We called when we got there and asked how to pick it up. They told us to go through the drive-thru. We had to wait behind 3 cars (15 minute wait) before we could tell them we were only doing a pickup. They THEN told us it wasn't ready and to go park on the side of the building. We waited another 15 minutes. We finally got our food 30 minutes past our pickup time and an hour since placing the order. I don't think they started cooking the food until we told them we were there through the drive-thru speaker. Kinda defeats the point of ordering ahead. :(

Delicious! I try something new every time I go and everything has been so tasty! The food is made to order, so you may wait a few minutes, but its worth it! I've yet to have anything that wasn't juicy and well-cooked. The rice is always cooked perfectly as well.

Some of the best teriyaki sauce I've had in a long time, and the katsu sauce is tasty too.

I usually hate takeout/deli macaroni salad, but not here! It's not overly heavy with mayo, which I appreciate and it's well seasoned.
