Food..5 stars. Service…. ZERO stars The food was as good as the last time I had it about 10 years ago. We are from out of town and wanted to go to a good pizza place. We chose to eat inside the restaurant. Well while sitting waiting for our food, the young man in the kitchen area sat our food, which was 2 pizzas and an order of cheese bread, on the counter, dropped our bread on the floor. Yes it was packaged in a bread bag, however the pizza and garlic sauces busted inside the bag. Now…. They knew they dropped it but still served it to us as though nothing happened. I was NOT happy about this at all!! One you don’t pick up food that’s been dropped on the floor, bagged or not, and serve it to you patrons, especially when we see you do this! Two, it’s a VIOLATION of restaurant and food safety! Never are you supposed to serve the food you drop!! I worked in food prep and if we dropped something, in the trash it goes! The Owner NEEDS to be aware of this and how upsetting it was to have your food dropped then served to us like nothing happened. The pizza sauces busted all over. Yes the pizza was delicious but this incident was and is NOT acceptable. I hope the owner looks into this and addresses the safety issue here...
Read moreFood very good as it always is ... problem was what I was charged .... Clearly the menu online showed a different price than what I was asked to pay ... I ordered an x-lg one topping, price on here, $13.50 ... I was charged $16.50 ... I also ordered a small coney pizza, price on here, $8.40, I was charged $9.75 ... When I asked why the difference, only response I got was "our menu prices changed" ... My comment back, " I should only have to pay what the website says" ... Again, her comment, "sorry our menu prices changed" ...I could have asked to speak to someone else but I didn't... mb I should have .. as I was driving home and thinking more about it, clearly I was right, the mistake is on them, not me .. it is not about a few dollars, it is the principal of the whole matter ... In my line of work, I stand behind my products ... If I make a mistake, I absorb it, I do not tell my customers sorry it is what it is and you will have to pay the new price, not what is CLEARLY advertised on my website ... As much as my family enjoys the quality of the food here, I do not expect to be back ... Be careful what u advertise on line Amie's Pizza, u are misleading the consumer...
Read moreThis pizza is closer to the pizza I grew up on in the south end of toledo than the restaurant that still bares its family name today. Now I'm not gonna say it's name because that would be rude but the initials are G.I.D. and if you look at my other reviews, it's the other place I reviewed last week. For decades I've said it had the best and only pizza I would eat. When family came in from out of town... I gave them G*s pizza. Amies now wears the crown. The sweet sauce is perfect the crust has the right flavor and consistency The cheese flavor was totally on point. I could ve used a little more so next time I ll order extra cheese but this pizza is awesome and very very close to being just like the stuff I could get from place on broadway where you could watch the old woman make it through a glass window several decades...
