I go here late-night for karaoke sometimes. The DJ is nice, and seems to have a good selection of songs to sing.

The bar itself is nice, with a decent selection of beers, I believe they have 10-12 drafts, with some standard domestic options that you're used to, and about half of them being craft beers (often with some local options), as well as a handful of other craft beer options in cans. They've also got seltzers, ciders, and a nice selection of liquor if you're more of a mixed drink kind of person.

The bartenders are friendly and prompt. Service can get a bit slow when the place gets busier, but as soon as they get around to you, service is nice and prompt.

I don't think the food here is anything incredible, but it's at least a step above a lot of other bar food I've had. Tasty and simple eats which are prepared well. Can't complain.

The atmosphere is where things fall apart for me a bit, since I feel like it comes off as a bit boring. The inside is medium-sized, with a decent amount of seating, and a pool table. There's also a patio outside with more seating where folks can drink, smoke, and relax. They've got a bit of a tiki theme, but they don't really do much with it. Their style comes off as being more upscale, yet it doesn't feel polished enough to truly shine. It's not a dive bar, either, though. It's stuck somewhere in-between, and just feels like they could be doing so much more to make themselves stand out, but either don't have the money or desire to do-so.

Overall, though, decent bar, worth stopping in for a drink if you're in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way to...

First time being here at Krakatoa Tropic Food and Spirits. The menu for a small bar was of excellence!! Bella, The Bartender whom waited on us was helpful, friendly, on top of her A game. Bella ensured all was correct and kept the sodas full, checked to see what thoughts were on the burgers 🍔. Bella is quirky and quick, and her customer service is absolutely out of this world. We definitely need more like her in customer relations. Makes going places much better and attitude and smiles are also what we need more of.

The Krakotoa Burger was a grand slam. It was cooked to perfection, perfect tenderness, and finish. The barbecue, which I'm not a big fan of, barbecue sauces, but there's is definitely 100% delicious, right 😋 taste and perfect amount of sweetness! I had the choice of loaded fries, tater tots, regular fries, onion rings , and other options. I chose the onion rings. Seasoned and fried to perfection, absolutely 💯 spot on. I had seen a fella eating the loaded fries when we arrived, I asked him what it was he was eating. He explained it, and basically, it's a nice big pile of heart attack that looked amazing, and I'm sure they are. The French fries are excellent as well!!

Overall, for 1st time being here, I definitely will be back to try the canovore burger and some loaded fries on the next round. If you are in the mood for some good burgers and fried food, stop in and grab a bite. Definitely have good beer and wine prices as well from the looks of it and considering I'm going on nine years of...

My girlfriend and I were there last night for the first time. The atmosphere was nice, had a very solid feel for the moms and dads of the area considering they had wood working channels on the tv’s. Pretty solid stuff off the bat. A wedding took over the place but gave for some great laughs as I watched white girls try and strut their stuff and fail; so made the night better....but not the best. Though the food was great, and service was on top of everything, my girlfriend was charged for two Fireballs we never ordered and that was resolved with two free bottles of beer that i doubt equaled itself out. Now that’s all fine and dandy if we were planning to stay and drink more but we were closing that tab out, so resolving the issue with more beer because refunding it would’ve taken too long just doesn’t quite seem right. On top of that, the girlfriend informs me she was charged twice or at least multiple times for drinks. The bill was hefty enough between the two of us, no need to just point blank make us out to be alcoholics at our expense. We will be calling when the place opens and I sure hope this issue gets resolved better than giving us free beers and entertaining us with mediocre karaoke night with the moms and dad of the area.

Update; making wrongful charges to customers is normal here according to the bartender here. Maybe drinking on the job has something to...
