Vintage Estate Wine and Beer has consistently delivered an exceptional experience for over a decade, maintaining its reputation as a premier destination for craft beer and wine enthusiasts. Despite undergoing at least one ownership change, the establishment has remained steadfast in its commitment to quality offerings and a well-defined business model.
One of the unique features of Vintage Estate is its intentional choice to forego televisions, allowing patrons to engage in conversation and fully appreciate the ambiance. The bar proudly features its “signature” Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale on tap, a testament to its diverse beer selection, even if it may not appeal to everyone. What truly sets Vintage Estate apart is its unwavering dedication to providing an extensive array of world-class beers, both new and classic. This commitment is evident in their impressive inventory, which rarely experiences stockouts, encompassing both draft and bottled selections.
In addition to the vast beer offerings, the wine selection at Vintage Estate is nothing short of remarkable, making it a veritable paradise for aficionados of both craft beer and fine wine. The menu also caters to those with appetites, featuring a variety of simple yet satisfying food options, including flatbreads, hot dogs, healthy snacks, and sandwiches.
As locals every visit to Vintage Estate is a delightful experience, where we indulge in delicious bites, sample a range of eclectic draft beers, and often discover hard-to-find craft beers and unique wines to enhance our personal collection.
However, I feel compelled to address a specific concern that has arisen during our visits. There is an employee of South Asian descent named J - - -y whose behavior has been increasingly troubling. Initially, we appreciated his presence, but over time, he has become noticeably intrusive, crossing boundaries that make people’s visits uncomfortable. We have heard both customers and employees complain. While I wish to emphasize that this feedback is not personal, it is essential to highlight that his conduct may jeopardize the welcoming atmosphere that Vintage Estate strives to provide. As loyal patrons who frequent the establishment often, we find ourselves reconsidering our visits due to this ongoing issue.
In conclusion, Vintage Estate Wine and Beer remains a top-tier venue for craft beer and wine lovers, but I hope that management can address this concern to ensure that every guest can enjoy the experience to...
Read moreVintage Estate is a very good beer place considering the limited options in this town (although that's changing pretty quickly, thankfully). However, there are a couple serious problems with this place that a lot of people seem to overlook. First, prices. They are high. Really high. On my last visit, they were selling 12oz. pours of Founders Harvest Ale for $8. That's a beer that should be no more than $6 for a pint. Everything they sell at their "main" bar is dramatically overpriced. The $5 bar is somewhat more reasonable, but they usually sell those in 12oz. pours too. Bottle prices are not much better, and they charge a $1.50 (maybe higher now) corkage fee to open any of their bottles for on-premise consumption. And it's a $5 corkage for a bottle of wine. That's tough to swallow, particularly when you're talking about a $15 bottle of wine. The second issue is the age of the beer. Because they have such a huge stock, lots of stuff tends to sit for a long time. I've picked up (and subsequently put back) several pale ales & IPAs that were 4, 5, or 6 months old (sometimes even older). Beers like this need to be consumed fresh. Most six-month old IPAs will be shell of what the brewer intended it to taste like. Lastly, storage conditions are not ideal. Again, because of the sheer volume of product, a lot of the beers sit out warm on shelves for extended periods of time. Now, there are plenty of beer styles that can handle room temperature storage, but many cannot and should not, and their flavors suffer as a result. I like the idea behind Vintage, and I usually visit whenever I'm in town because of the limited options, but I have a hard time believing they need to charge the prices they do to keep the doors open. Combine that with the age & storage conditions of their inventory, and it makes this place a difficult one to justify...
Read morePLENTY of beer and wine choices and the food is amazing! Ghost pepper flatbread and hot dog (called a roll because they wrap the dog and condiments in a house made dough and bake it) are DEFINITELY spicy enough. I'm tired of many restaurants that claim to have "spicy" food, but Vintage Estates delivers on its promise of something with a kick. The sauce is to die for if you can handle the heat ❤️ My body just decides to shower itself in sweat so I always ask for extra napkins lol. Ghost pepper sauce is not for the faint of heart or for most of those tough people who say "Oh I can handle spicy!" (Don't make me laugh, you know who you are.) The rest of the menu is delicious as well and adequate for the majority of people who don't want to cry. Definitely recommend the pretzel bites with gruyere sauce 😍.
Some of the beer selections are definitely pricey, but you get what you pay for on most of them. The boxes they have lying around are definitely useful for purchasing beer cans and bottles in bulk, although most are at room temperature so be sure to refrigerate those first! 10/10 would recommend for beer and wine lovers! (No domestic light beers welcomed, those are for the...
