Moe's Original BBQ — Restaurant in Ohio

Update: After we made this post, the owner reached out and immediately made Resolution to my previous post (which was amazing btw & rare), today 7/9/24 we had some free time & stopped by. I had the shrimp "moe" boy, mud pie and mac & cheese. He had smoked chicken sandwhich & french fries. All of which were absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the shrimp sandwich! I'm also happy to report.There were plenty of hot sauces! We also made it a point to reach out and meet the owner on site, And he actually remembered us and our situation. It was really Awesome to hear the feedback about how this Bbq joint came to business and about the owners! They were very apologetic about the situation, And today's food would definitely bring us back in!

--------‐ We have never eaten there, And we are foodies. The food was okay, Sucks the only hot sauce that they have are hot sauce packets You would think for a barbecue joint they would have something a little more appealing. I wouldn't say that the Selections of alcohol drinks would be my favorite. Our server was a little snappy, I don't know, we both felt a bit bossed Around and zero warm welcome. I don't know if that's her selling point of her personality I don't know we just didn't appreciate the cold sharpness And definitely didn't find it cute. You absolutely need to try this BBQ, the best I have had in Ohio since I moved to Columbus 6 years ago! The pulled pork was great, the ribs so tender and had a great dry rub, and if you are there when they make brisket.... Get it or you are losing out!!! Best brisket I have had in my life to date! Oh and the smoked chicken wings.... Incredible! Not to mention the sides are phenomenal. I especially enjoyed the potato salad, while the sweet potato casserole was a big hit! Not only is the food great, but the customer service was incredible. This company actually cares about getting everythingright with your order, and the owners who took my order for amy small wedding were so incredibly helpful and nice. There was even a little mix up in what I had thought I ordered and what was actually on paper, which was a total accidental mix up and Greg made it right. After I talked to him and they were out of the smoked chicken we had wanted, he sent up 30 smoked wings on them, just to make things right and helped make our wedding day as great as it was and gave my wife some chicken to eat!

(Oh, did I mention they specially made the brisket on the day they usually don't for us, and even some of the side dishes?!?!)

Moe's is incredible, food and customer service wise! We will definitely be coming back and make the special trip to Granville or Newark for this incredible BBQ...

We had our hearts set on some good bbq. We’ve eaten at Moe’s when it was in Grandville and loved our experience everytime. However, when we walked in tonight to this location looking at an empty restaurant with dirty tables was a turn off. Then as we are looking if there was even gonna be a clean place to sit a man tells us we have to order at the counter. Wasn’t welcoming or real kind honestly. But then when the woman come over who was sitting on her butt with dirty tables in the restaurant and then couldn’t even look at us and kept rolling her eyes and huffed when I didn’t catch something she said and she repeated it looking away (BTW I didn’t hear it again but didn’t dare ask again) we both got the drift our business wasn’t welcome and we walked out. First time at this location. Definitely not the wonderful experiences we had at the old Grandville location years ago. People says mom and pop shops needs our business and we love to give it to them but just like they need our business and we want to give our money to businesses who appreciates us coming in and dining. It’s also our hard earned money. We went elsewhere and it was a great experience from the time we walked in the door...
