Bjs is a good brand that goes along way I worked at this bjs and I've never seen such a high turn over rate and a unprofessional environment that the managers are a part of in my 5months working there I seen 1 manager and 9 other employees quit I was the 11th my first red flag was the group of Hispanics that think they run the kitchen and in my interview I was told about the environment in which I was working in wasn't the friendliest my trainer for prep didn't even speak English and told me stuff that was wrong and or I couldn't understand. the other two Hispanics for the cooks like to talk in Spanish about you good and or bad not professional one was professional and thought me very well and explained and engaged in recipes the other was stand offish with little man energy didn't explain and or talk me threw recipes or let me ask questions. He was a short Hispanic anyways the dishwashers didn't know I opened a bjs in Puyallup Washington as a dishwasher letting moisture sit between dishes creates bacteria when not putting them away properly All the dishwashers were Hispanic who didn't speak English we put them away soaking wet still dirty and with 1/4cup of water between each one Ive told the managers but it still happens I was away for two weeks attending funeral services as well and came back to a walk in that stinks like death unable to properly rotate trays and product like chicken and fish creating a unclean environment. I quit because the hispanic kitchen manager Freddy protects these Hispanics who are potentially getting people sick and creating unclean working environments not following recipes and not enforcing any rules and or regulations if I'm gonna be apart of a team it's gonna be people who can actually do thier jobs...
Read moreToday my family and I had the worst experience at BJs restaurant on memorial in Oklahoma City. We have dined there MANY times and won’t be going back EVER AGAIN. We got there when they opened. The place was EMPTY and we had a party of 6. They sat us at a table for 4 people because apparently math is hard for the hostess staff. We had no where to put our entrees. And smaller parties were enjoying ALL OF THE EMPTY booths around us. Why! Bc again math is hard for some people. With an empty restaurant it’s weird that we had to sit and WAIT for everything. I understand it’s not fast food but it was ridiculous. The food there has definitely gone downhill. The food we waited for was not great. Portions were ridiculous and that pretty much explains why the dining room was half full - other people get it. My husband got the prime rib and could only eat half of it. That is after they mixed up his prime rib with my father’s and neither were cooked the way it was requested. All that was offered was that they could “re-plate it.” The rest of it was fatty and disgusting and he brought that to the waitresses attention- she said she would let the manager know. And he didn’t care. Never came to talk to us or ask about it or anything. Funny it wasn’t like that last time or previous times but who cares right- just 40.00 wasted. Upon leaving I let the hostess know that we would have liked to have been seated at a bigger table - something to keep in mind with future guests - she seemed to get it but her friend mouthed “whatever” so there is a reason she makes 16.00 an hour and others don’t. Keep reaching idiot. Our bill was over 140.00 for pure crap and shitty service and don’t waste your money or your time. I will...
Read moreEDIT 26 DEC 2021: I think they've lost their stride. Might be due to Covid, might not. Last few times we've been, Prime rib was fat and gristle. Burgers are dry, etc. I think if you are getting a Pizza and beer you'd be ok but there are few things on the menu that you can't get elsewhere. Service is still friendly and food comes out as ordered. Go elsewhere for specific fare (pasta/burger/steak) but if you can't decide the overly huge menu has something adequate for most. We find ourselves not going here as much as we used to.:END EDIT If you can't decide where to eat, go here. Something for everyone. Pizzas are great and come in different sizes. Yes you can get a pizza for one. ( but really, any pizza can be a personal pizza if you try hard enough) Steaks are respectable, pasta can be good, fish, chicken, BBQ, "healthy" fare as well as soups and salads. Again, if the family can't decide on where to go, go here. The menu is vast and sometimes can be difficult to choose from. Some may think it's too big. Beer is where it's at. There are some good drinks here but they ave their own brews and , frankly, are better than some of the other brands they offer. Kid friendly. TVs all over playing sports of all kinds ( if that's your thing) and a well stocked bar. Staff is friendly and attentive, some are down right fun. This is a busy place in a busy part of town so there may be a wait at peak times. Dining room is crowded and noisy, but it's really a sports bar with fermentation tanks in the back so what would you expect? One of our...
