Wife had bacon, eggs over easy with strudel pancakes and fruit bowl. All cooked perfectly. I had chicken fried steak (CFS) with 2 eggs over easy with hashbrowns & toast. Our experience was lacking at best for these reasons. There were plenty of employees and three other tables with 9 total customers. 5 people had already been served. We waited 25 minutes for our order. Wife's food was normal and tasty. My CFS was served cold and hard as a brick that couldn't be cut with a fork and knife. The gravy had grown skin. My over easy eggs were served barely warm and needed a couple more minutes to be considered cooked. Super runny including egg whites that were also runny. I finally got the waitress attention and showed her my plate of food. She took the CFS back to the order cook & came back to the table to asked if I wanted another. I didnt because the cook should never have sent that food out and the waitress should never have brought that plate to the table to serve it. Manager approached also asking if i wanted a recook. No I dont. That cfs wasn't golden brown. It was DARK and obviously burnt. The eggs raw. Wife shared her breakfast with me. We werent offered a refill on our water or coffee. Waitress disappeared during this time and only returned upon our exiting the building. They didnt remove my plate from the tab either. Saying i was offered a replacement meal. I paid the entire order and we left. NEVER TO RETURN - EVER. As a young man I would've refused to pay the tab and written a letter to corporate. As an old man, these days i vote with my wallet and write reviews. This was a MASSIVE FAIL. Plenty of other restaurants are more than willing to provide a pleasant dining experience and sell me good food with outstanding service. Denny's is a no no for us and I'm super bummed about it, being a customer...
Read moreExtremely disappointed in everything. But not the worst Denny’s experience I’ve had, so I did 2 stars. Waitress was very poor. Food quality was subpar. Restroom had standing water puddle like something was leaking and pooled up. We got there at about 930 pm. Maybe a little after. They were very busy and short staffed, so I had conditioned myself for it to be slow. And was still very disappointed. They did seem to call in wait staff. So our order was taken at 9:53. Our waitress didn’t stop at our table again until 10:40. Drinks were empty. We tried to flag her down a couple times to get refills and Annabelle ignored us. My dad asked another waitress what was taking so long and she said she would inform our waitress. What I perceived as the manager walked by and asked if everything was alright, we said no and she didn’t care enough to find out why. Our food was finally brought out at about 10:46. Mushrooms were shriveled up like they were cooked and cooled down. Which was odd because everything was hot. I’m now wondering if the food may have been reheated. There was hardly any sauce on it and the chicken was very dry. I’ve bragged about how good the bourbon chicken sizzlin skillet is to my dad and this was my chance to show him. But it failed miserably and I know he’ll never bother with a Denny’s again. People who walked in after us had already left by the time we got our food. Maybe our waitress missed delivering our meal and they had to reheat it or something. I don’t know, but I won’t waste my time going to 74th street Denny’s again. I’ll drive to the one in Norman...
Read moreWell today I took me, my kids, sister n law and the dog dined In well from jump the atmosphere was pleasant Claudia the waitress was extremely pleasant, on point to the tee with customer service so 10 star to that unfortunately I and my sis order the same things but different sides. Well we both enjoying our meal then she dug in the center cause she said her fish felt cold when she got closer to center well I called the waitress and she seem sad because I explained to her that her food was cold but she took back well her food came in she noticed it was the same fish that she sent back in I said there wrong for that because that's cross contamination because who takes food and place it back on grill after a customer makes a complaint about it. I did speak to the owner who stated grill is set or over 385 degrees. That cross contamination wasn't the right word to use well like I states I work fast food and we were taught as crew and managers cause I started as a crew member to management that any food return is to go I'm waste bucket to get counted as waste inventory to keep up with food cost by this time I remain silence because the best response Is no response so here's my review I will never ever eat there again it starts with management then down to crew. Shows me he don't know much about food business, well let me run my credentials I been a blogger and food critic for 6 yrs and this is unexceptable I can imagine what else you do with the food. Trust reviews...
