I love Earl's! Definitely one of our favorite watering holes. We've been to almost all the Earl's in the OKC metro, & hands down the Reno & Meridian Earl's is (in our opinion) by far the best. They told us that they all use the same recipes, but to us there's definitely a difference. Maybe they just do their work with more love, haha. I honestly haven't tried very many things on the menu. We just always get the cheddar burger & curly fries. It's a consistently great burger, every time. Fresh ingredients, juicy & well-seasoned meat, and quality bread/bun. And I can practically drink their bbq sauce. Soooo yummy. If you split the burger with a friend/spouse/anyone else haha, they're awesome enough to bring out the burger on two separate plates with a generous serving of curly fries on each one, no extra charge. Sweet tea there is great, too. Just another reason why we love Earl's. 5 stars for the food; 5 stars for the staff as well. They always make us feel welcome & most of them recognize us when we come now haha. Cain't go wrong with the cheddar burger &...
Read moreI am on a carnivore only diet, so I eat A LOT of meats. I try multiple BBQ places anytime I visit a new city.
I ordered the Brisket (moist requested), smoked bologna, pulled pork and the deviled eggs
Brisket: Dry. even by lean standards it was dry. Zero fat on any piece. If you don’t use bbq sauce you won’t be able to eat this.
Bologna: not great. it appears they don’t smoke their meats very long. There’s zero smoke flavor or any other flavor in this bologna. It tasted like a warm slice of sandwich bologna. You can tell they pre slice is prior to cooking as there is no moisture held in it.
Pulled pork: GOOD. I was pleasantly surprised when I moved to the pulled pork. Very tender, juicy and shredded amazingly. Again, not a ton of smoke flavor but I’d get the pulled pork again.
Deviled eggs: nothing special but not horrible. They use sweet relish but not a lot. No mustard taste though which I prefer.
Overall I would not come here if you like...
Read moreMy first time here and I ordered EARL’S BINGE, a combo dinner that was advertised as including: Ribs, brisket, hot link, and smoked bologna. DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! Ribs, brisket, and bologna did not contain the slightest of smoke flavor, or any flavor for that matter. The only way to enjoy these meets were two completely bathed them in barbecue sauce. The brisket was not slow cooked or smoked. It was watery, stringy and reminded you of something you threw in your slow cooker at home and then realized you forgot to throw any salt or other seasonings on it before you cooked it. As for the sides, the green beings were most definitely straight out of the can with some small chunks of bacon thrown in. Absolutely no saltiness or flavor. Don't waste your money! You'll get better barbecue if you went 2-3 blocks south on Meridian Avenue and hit one of the two major barbecue chain...
