So my at the time Fiance came into nothing bundt cakes to taste all the flavors that nothing bundt cakes has to offer so we can get an idea for our wedding. When we came in it was a Saturday morning and the lady that was telling us about the cakes and all was not all that friendly but I blew it off due to the fact that it was morning.
Two - three months later I called to place our LARGE order of $400 that consisted of 13 dozen bundtinis and 2 bundt cakes. My Aunt was paying off the cakes for us. So I would call twice a week to see if payments were made. when i called i would say " hello my name is Chelsey Tripp and I am calling to see if any payment was made for my wedding cake. the date is September 3, 2018" or sometimes I would say its on labor day and they would tell me yes or no.
So 4 DAYS before the wedding my aunt goes in to make the final payment on the cake and she said there was a sign on the door that said we will be closed on labor day. She called me and told me and said I needed to call them right away. So i did i spoke with the manager and i asked her very nicely if they will be closed on labor day and she stated yes we will be. I then asked why was I not informed of this when I placed my wedding cake order and she stated well we did not know that we will be closed on labor day. I then stated well how would I get my cake delivered to my wedding? her comment back was well we can either deliver it to you on Saturday? I said no my wedding is Monday. I do not want stale cake at my wedding. I then asked her how come you didn't tell your boss that you had a $400 cake order that needed to be delivered on labor day when she told you that you all had labor day off? She commented well we over looked your order.
I told her that it needed to be delivered on labor day no if ands or buts. she said I will have to see if that is even possible. I asked for her owners number and she stated I cant give that out to you.
Needless to say the cake was delivered by a girl that worked for nothing budt cakes and her kid that had to be supervised while the cakes were being brought in. I will not do a catering order from...
Read moreMy family and I have bought many cakes from this company for events within the last few years. I ordered a cake to be picked up on Friday as a housewarming gift for our new neighbors, but my husband woke up very sick on Friday. He took a Covid test and tested positive. My newborn baby and I went to go stay with my mom out of town in hopes to try to keep him well, but we all ended up getting sick anyways. When I initially talked to Jasmine at Nothing Bundt Cakes Friday, She informed me that we could either get a half refund or we could pick up the cake Monday (I also find it interesting they wanted us to pick up despite being Covid positive). I tried to explain that we would all be in quarantine but would try to pick up Monday. When Monday rolled around I obviously forgot about the cake because I was caring for my very sick newborn who had high fevers along with feeling very sick myself. They did not attempt to call me and remind me Monday. Jasmine called me Tuesday and informed me that they discarded the cake and it would no longer be available for pick up. When I asked about the half refund, she told me that was not an option because they had to discard the cake and they would be out due to that. It’s very frustrating to me that a company would have such little understanding in such a difficult situation. I realize they made the cake, but there was very little I could control in this situation. I’m very disappointed in how the entire situation was handled by the company and will gladly take my business elsewhere. The staff at this location is incredibly rude and now looking at previous reviews I see others have...
Read moreI’ve always loved Nothing Bundt Cakes for their delicious products and the quality the chain is known for. However, my recent experience with the OKC store on 2520 W Memorial left me disappointed, especially regarding their online interface and store customer service.
I ordered a $40 cake online for delivery to a friend (I live in Texas), but my total ended up being $60 after tax, service fees, delivery fees, and an automatic 15% tip. The tipping option wasn’t customizable. Wanting to cancel the order, I tried calling the store for two days, only to be met with a holiday voicemail. I eventually had to call another Nothing Bundt Cakes location and ask them to notify the owner that the holiday message was still active.
When I finally reached the OKC store, I spoke with Julie, who informed me she couldn’t process the refund herself and that her manager would handle it in a few days. Despite asking for email confirmation and emphasizing that any follow-up communication should come to me (NOT the recipient) I later found out that my friend received a text about the refund. This was frustrating and embarrassing.
The customer service at this location clearly needs improvement. It’s disappointing that Julie couldn’t answer basic questions without repeatedly consulting someone else, which reflected a lack of training. To the manager/owner: running a successful franchise requires effort and attention to processes. Please invest in better training and communication systems so experiences like mine don’t happen again.
I hope this feedback helps improve the store’s operations because the product deserves better support on the...
