We waited 15 minutes for someone to seat us. (There were only 3 tables currently being occupied in the whole restaurant.) We were given one menu to share between the FOUR of us. When we asked for more, the waiter pointed to the table and said we could use the QR code. I said no, we would like another menu please and two children's menus with crayons as per usual. The waiter did come back with one more menu and said they had no children's menus or crayons. We didn't see the waiter for 55 more minutes. Just as we had decided to leave, a different waiter asked if we had our order taken. We said no. He promptly took our order. It took another 45 minutes to get our food. Meanwhile, my grandchildren were very hungry and starting to become quite irritable and tired! The food finally arrived. I apologized to the new waited that my 2 year old grandson was crying (loudly) as it had been 2 hours since we arrived here and it was past his normal bedtime. The 3 year old managed to keep busy by playing with straw wrapper, his silverware and blowing bubbles in his drink. We seriously would have left but the 3 year old is autistic and set on pancakes. I frankly did not want to deal with the meltdown that would ensue if we left. I kept telling myself, any minute now, someone would come or the food would come. It was a totally exasperating experience. The restaurant wasn't even that busy! There were 2 waiters and only 3-5 tables seated. It was terrible staff management. I think one of the waiters (our original waiter) disappeared for long lengths of time, leaving one guy to take care of everyone. We made sure to leave our tip, in cash, with the waiter that ACTUALLY took our order and served us. The best I could tell, our waiter was servicing 3-4 table and the other waiter focused only...
Read moreI went to an IHOP location and the manager, Jeff was rude. I explained to him that, “I wanted the $6 House Faves/House Of Faves; in-which, I had bought the previous evening.”He immediately, tells me that “he didn’t think I could get that to go.” I then, explained to him; countless times, that “I had my receipt with me, to prove to him what I’d ordered the day before!!!! I did, in-fact ordered the same thing!!!! He kept avoiding, nevertheless, walking around me. I then, proceeded to tell him that I wanted turkey bacon as my substitute meat.” He (Manager Jeff), again tells me “he couldn’t do that, either”. He still, ignored the fact that I’d already told him, I had my receipt as proof!!! Finally, he decided to look at my receipt after ringing up my order based on what I said. As you know by now, I don’t even want to order!!! Due to the fact of him, first off, being rude, then he ignored, and walked around me the whole time. I told him, “Nevermind.” I left and went to this IHOP location and the manager, Wendy’s customer service and hospitality is phenomenal!!! She honored my order, apologized for the inconvenience caused at the other location. She said, “she didn’t understand why he told me that?!!! When, the computer showed, as a customer, you can get it to go and the meat can still be substituted in the system”. When I got my bag, and opened it. I found this note. I’ve visited her store again, recently!!! This small gesture, and great customer service, is what I love, appreciate, and needed!!!💪🏾💪🏼👌🩵 Thanks a bunch,...
Read moreMy wife and I came to eat here for a date afternoon because she was off work. It just so happened to be on Halloween. My wife and I got our usual order but this time she just got the scary face pancake because she has the stomach of a child. She had stomach surgery many years ago, and so she can only eat kid size portions. Free scary face pancakes for kids after 4 with an adult entree, I ordered my entree and I ordered her pancake for her because that’s a perfect portion for her. Everything went smoothly, until the rude manager came by and told her she had to be 12 or under and that she didn’t care that she had a card saying she could get kids meals. She made my wife cry, and made her feel absolutely terrible about it. This is the first time we’ve had an issue about my wife eating kids meals…. Also the place was not busy so I guess the manager felt the need to be a witch on Halloween I guess. Overall not amused with how my wife and I were treated over a stupid $4.99 single pancake that should’ve been free due to her stomach size.
Update: it’s been over 2 1/2 months and still no answer from these people…. The manager is an awful person. It’s a shame because we love ihop, but not when that manager is here. Not one person has reached out, and at this point it’s just beyond ridiculous….
UPDATE AGAIN: DESPITE HAVING REACHED OUT TO THE STUPID LITTLE LINK THEY GIVE YOU, I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM ANYONE. THEY ARE A JOKE WHEN IT COMES TO...
