The hotel is very nicely decorated, and kept pretty clean. It was very easy to find, and it's only about a block away from the beginning of Brick Town. In nice weather, it would make a great walk for dinner or drinks. The front desk staff was friendly enough, no one really made you feel welcome though. Also, no one thanked us for staying with them when we checked out. The staff on the club level (where we stayed) was much friendlier. We picked this hotel for the government discount, it was about the only hotel in the area we wanted to stay in that offered one. When we checked in, no one asked to see the government ID, so I thought they would ask when we checked out before payment. But no, no one ever asked for proof before applying the discount. We asked for a quiet room, and they placed us all the way at the end of the hallway, which was great! Away from the elevators and common room. However, our room was directly across from the service entrance. We could hear all the carts, and anyone going in and out of there. Luckily, it didn't get used much past 11pm or so. The beds are pretty darn uncomfortable. My husband and I both woke up with aches and pains that we're still recovering from, and we're not even 30 years old yet. Our particular bathroom was incredibly small, you had to step all the way to the back of the room before you could shut the door to use the toilet. There was no option for turning off the fan in the bathroom, but based off the severe peeling paint on the ceiling, it was on purpose since no one ever used the fan. I don’t think we ever received a nightly turn down service. I’m not sure because I don’t know what was included in it. When we left in the afternoon, our room was exactly the same when we returned in the evening. But we didn't mind! The breakfast was great! The food was very good, and a wide selection of hot and cold items. Although Sunday, we went at 9:30 and all the food was gone, except the pastries. The only food that got replaced was the bacon and more pastries. Supposedly, we were able to have complimentary Wi-Fi, we followed the directions in the room, but they still wanted to charge us for access. Since we were there on pleasure instead of business, it didn't make much of a difference, we just didn't use it. If we did need the internet, we just used the common computer. The T.V. was the most annoying. I think it was satellite, and virtually all the stations sans about 5, would get pixilated, break up and eventually loose signal. As you can imagine, it made it very difficult to watch anything. The only two things outside of the bed that were just kind of weird about the room, was the peeling ceiling paint in the bathroom, and the light blocking curtain was about 1 inch too short for the window. Other than that, the room was beautiful. Lots of electrical plug options, large...

This morning I could not find toothpaste and the front counter gave me some packets. No problem. Today I walked around town.It seems to me that anything you would want to see is in walking distance really. HOWEVER; This evening I threw a sweater on and had no shoes.Just shorts, pajama, shorts to be specific, and grabbed my keycard, hoping I could just run to the snack machine I figured would be by the ice machine right down the hall. I am diabetic and sometimes at night, my sugars get whack and I need a snack.I should have thought about this prior I know. The ice machine was removed which is not a big deal. So is the snack machine or I guess they didn't have a snack machine? It was a soda machine. Nonetheless, not a big deal, but back to my room to pull my keycard out of my cardboard envelope, and it was not in there, it was still in the room. I went by the elevators in a panic and called the front desk embarrassed. I told them that I had locked myself out of my room right off the bat.The lady at the front desk was rude as she could be. Her whole attitude and demeanor was not that of good customer service. She continued to tell me that I need to have an I. D where I can't get in. I explained I don't have that. I am literally shoeless and in the hallway that my ID is in my room, she just had a big attitude didn't seem very supportive of my situation. I can't imagine. I'm the only person that's done this and then was super snarky, and said she was sending security and hung up. If you know me, you know i'm one of the sweetest person you'll ever meet. This lady was not, at all. Security, on other hand was very nice. Was directed to check my ID which I do appreciate, and was very nice. Spoke to some staff. Apparently she's an ongoing problem, but she's the only one they have for that shift or that position and they get a lot of complaints. I feel sorry for a team that has to work with that. Especially this team that has seemed to be so amazing thus far. There is a lot of us here for a nationwide conference too. I sure hope no one else had to endure this person at the front desk.
I was just telling some people. I would love to come back but i'm really not interested in that kind of hostile hospitality style.
Original This hotel is nice and clean. The staff is very friendly room service. Super close to a lot of locations.I was able to walk...
Read moreSaturday 8.24. I arrived at the Sheraton a little after 4p. The hotel was booked by my boyfriend online for a romantic Anniversary evening just us two. I pulled up near valet. The man asked me if I wanted to use valet service or park in the garage for a $10 charge. I could leave my car parked under off to the side while I check in. I checked with the front desk concierge (Gary). He asked about a card on file for incidentals, he offered rewards. I agreed. I spun the wheel for the Hotel Special. I got the hotel key and parking pass. I went ahead and grabbed my hanging bag and open tote from my car, went to the floor and put my things in our hotel room. Right after I headed down stairs and parked my car in the garage (3rd floor). I later asked concierge if I could have a robe brought up to the room, it was. Later that night I went on my date, was picked up by my boyfriend. He parked his car outside, curbside. Morning before check out I realize I forgot my toothbrush. We called the front desk, my boyfriend answered the door, got the brush and thanked them. We checked out by 10:30 before 11. Monday I called back up to the hotel after noticing an anonymous charge of $35. After speaking with an agent she proceeded to tell me I was charged a pet deposit. Wait what!?! I demanded an understanding reassuring her there was no pet. I told her if there were cameras she could see there was never a pet, how?! Where?!? When?!? After an “investigation” was made they proceeded to tell me the manager had made a final decision not to refund what will end up being a now $75 charge extra outside of parking $10. Continuing to say we were lucky it wasn’t $250!! However, we’re demanding proof of findings of “Mysterious pet” from said “eye witness” who claims we snuck in an animal! It’s absurd and a clear act of discrimination against us. After leaving messages and demanding proof we decided to dispute charges with the bank and open an investigation through Sheraton Corporate. Legally they cannot charge your card without actual proof of anything. If at any point they believe there was a breach of contract, they could have investigated them selves, me and my boyfriend were gone several hours that night. Or calling us and letting us know there was suspicion to look for a charge. Instead I called! Funny thing incidental charges cleared. Bottom line I will never book with them again. Beware folks they will charge you what they...
