⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Ted’s Escondido on Council Road in Oklahoma City several times, and every experience has been outstanding! From the moment you walk in, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and inviting. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and a real treat. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but their signature dishes are definitely a highlight. A special shoutout to the General Manager, Stephen Hilmes, who goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome. He’s always friendly, attentive, and creates a great atmosphere for families and individuals alike. The restaurant is fully accessible for those with disabilities and has plenty of free parking, making it easy to enjoy a meal without any hassle. It’s also a very kid-friendly environment, making it a perfect spot for families to enjoy dinner together. As an extra perk, kids eat FREE on Mondays with a paid parent!! What really sets Ted’s apart, though, is its commitment to the community. They’re incredible supporters of both Oklahoma City Public Schools and Western Heights Public Schools, helping students and teachers in meaningful ways. It’s refreshing to see a local business so invested in the community. If you haven’t visited yet, I highly recommend it—great food, great service, and a great cause!

The service was the best part of the experience and it was not good. Upon entering the restrusnt I went to the restroom and found myself stepping in human feces, I spent probably a good 10 minutes, trying to clean everything off my shoes in the bathroom, washing everything up and would have left if I hadn’t already invited several guests to join me for dinner across town. I went straight to the manager and informed him of my experience and the situation. His words were exactly thank you for telling us and turned around and walked away. After the meal, I went back and asked for the manager after waiting 4.5 minutes, he approached me assisted a w. He hat had just walked up … as he finished I asked for a bag to yote my feces covered shoes in, so I wouldn’t get it in my vehicle, and I expressed that I felt content about the way he handled it. He handed me a bag that my shoes would not fit in as II expressed that he did not even offer me an apology nor ask if there’s anything that he could do to help the situation he then looked at me and said oh I apologize and turned and walked off. I wouldn’t have ate at this place this time if I hadn’t had friends drive across town, I regret making that exception not a place I will ever consider in the future !!unbelievable.

The wife and decided to grab lunch and a few margaritas after shopping. Walking in they asked would we like to sit in the bar area and that made sense considering we had margaritas in mind. After sitting and waiting for the chips a family showed up with a high chair and booster. Two minutes later a family showed up with another booster. 5 tables and three of them had children in the BAR area. So we skipped the margaritas because of the crying and feeling weird with children sitting in the BAR area. Why wouldn’t the management and hostess tell party’s with children the BAR area is for adults only? The table of lady behind also making comments. Well Ted’s missed out on drink orders and we ate as fast as possible to get out of there. I will never go back into their fake BAR area where children apparently are able to be even though the able commission says no one under 21! Poor Karen had to keep picking chips and tortillas off the floor because the kids in boosters at two separate table thought it was funny to throw them at each other! There should NEVER be a high chair or booster in a BAR area.

We went shopping at the outlets yesterday for back to school clothes. We decided to eat at Ted’s about 4. We were immediately seated and given menus. It took a few minutes for the waitress to come to the table, no biggie. She brought drinks back and noticed we hadn’t got our setup yet. She explained they didn’t have any clean bowls but we should have it all asap. She went ahead and took our order. It took 20 minutes for us to get our setup. They almost gave our setup too to a table who got here 20 minutes after us but quickly realized we needed them first. Everytime she would come by to refill chips or our drinks she said our food should be out soon and thank you for our patience as they had new cook staff. Understand for sure. We then noticed tables who were seated 20-30 minutes after us were getting their food. About 10-15 minutes later our waitress explained our ticket got lost and they were going to be starting on our food. It took over an hour from ordering to receive our food. Wouldn’t have been an issue but we had our 3 year old with us and she was started to act restless and had to be taken to the car before my husband could finish his meal. It took so long we just wanted to get a box and go because we had been there too long. Didn’t feel like enjoying a sopapilla just for the sake of us leaving. I live between Tulsa and OKC so I have went to many different Teds locations and this has been the worst experience. What we did get to eat was good. The service sucked and the tables were too close together. The poor lady behind us was straddling the side of the table because there wasn’t enough room...

At approx noon on 3/12 I visited the restaurant. My group normally sits in the bar but this time we sat in the main area. As I have had gastric sleeve surgery I eat very little and normally order the child’s taco or enchilada. I have done this multiple times over many different locations for 5 years. Today however I was greeted with opposition and quite frankly an attitude that was very unbecoming of your server. After I explained my situation he stated that I was in his area now. If I ordered the child’s plate he would charge me for the set up also. I told him I don’t partake in it as I would not be able to eat my meal. Again I was met with complete disregard. I went ahead and ordered the lunch special. I then went and talked to the manager. She explained about the set up and being an adult. She also said that my medical condition had no bearing. I was going to show her my card signed by my physician but she said it would not matter.

I told her to cancel my meal and I would just sit and converse with my party. She and your server not only lost a sale but the tip also. They likely lost the entire party business in the future.

The funny thing is, I see children eating the set up along with the same meal that I was ordering. Is it strictly based on age because your bottom line would not be affected adversely?

Although you have decent TexMex, I will not be recommending any of your establishments simply for your...

Ted's is a definite do again. The fabulous flour tortillas are a great way to start and then you get your own bowl of queso blanco and chips!! They had me with just that, and I would have happily and full... then they bring our the food I "forgot to save room for". 🙄 I ordered the fajitas with beef. They were okay... Not completely authentic Mexican cuisine that I could get in the southwest and below the border but it was tasty! My aunt ordered the Monterey Chicken and ir looked really good. Both of us had food left over for the next day, which we enjoyed very much.

A couple GLARING reasons I gave them a 4 star rating was that the waiter wasn't paying attention when he took our orders and brought me sweet tea. He was flirting with another table.

The other detractor was where our table was located. It was jammed in at the end of a row along an inside wall and I had to squeeze in behind the woman at the table behind me, so we were basically sitting side by side, and my aunt's chair was sitting out into the walkway so she was blocking the flow of traffic from the kitchen and every wait staffer had to pardon themselves as the managed to not hit her as they brought out food and drinks.

Foodwise... I wish I could give you a 6 and I will come again!! BUT I strongly suggest that you remove one table from the seating area so I won't have to eat bumping elbows with the lady at the...
