We went shopping at the outlets yesterday for back to school clothes. We decided to eat at Ted’s about 4. We were immediately seated and given menus. It took a few minutes for the waitress to come to the table, no biggie. She brought drinks back and noticed we hadn’t got our setup yet. She explained they didn’t have any clean bowls but we should have it all asap. She went ahead and took our order. It took 20 minutes for us to get our setup. They almost gave our setup too to a table who got here 20 minutes after us but quickly realized we needed them first. Everytime she would come by to refill chips or our drinks she said our food should be out soon and thank you for our patience as they had new cook staff. Understand for sure. We then noticed tables who were seated 20-30 minutes after us were getting their food. About 10-15 minutes later our waitress explained our ticket got lost and they were going to be starting on our food. It took over an hour from ordering to receive our food. Wouldn’t have been an issue but we had our 3 year old with us and she was started to act restless and had to be taken to the car before my husband could finish his meal. It took so long we just wanted to get a box and go because we had been there too long. Didn’t feel like enjoying a sopapilla just for the sake of us leaving. I live between Tulsa and OKC so I have went to many different Teds locations and this has been the worst experience. What we did get to eat was good. The service sucked and the tables were too close together. The poor lady behind us was straddling the side of the table because there wasn’t enough room...
Read moreAt approx noon on 3/12 I visited the restaurant. My group normally sits in the bar but this time we sat in the main area. As I have had gastric sleeve surgery I eat very little and normally order the child’s taco or enchilada. I have done this multiple times over many different locations for 5 years. Today however I was greeted with opposition and quite frankly an attitude that was very unbecoming of your server. After I explained my situation he stated that I was in his area now. If I ordered the child’s plate he would charge me for the set up also. I told him I don’t partake in it as I would not be able to eat my meal. Again I was met with complete disregard. I went ahead and ordered the lunch special. I then went and talked to the manager. She explained about the set up and being an adult. She also said that my medical condition had no bearing. I was going to show her my card signed by my physician but she said it would not matter.
I told her to cancel my meal and I would just sit and converse with my party. She and your server not only lost a sale but the tip also. They likely lost the entire party business in the future.
The funny thing is, I see children eating the set up along with the same meal that I was ordering. Is it strictly based on age because your bottom line would not be affected adversely?
Although you have decent TexMex, I will not be recommending any of your establishments simply for your...
Read moreTed's is a definite do again. The fabulous flour tortillas are a great way to start and then you get your own bowl of queso blanco and chips!! They had me with just that, and I would have happily and full... then they bring our the food I "forgot to save room for". 🙄 I ordered the fajitas with beef. They were okay... Not completely authentic Mexican cuisine that I could get in the southwest and below the border but it was tasty! My aunt ordered the Monterey Chicken and ir looked really good. Both of us had food left over for the next day, which we enjoyed very much.
A couple GLARING reasons I gave them a 4 star rating was that the waiter wasn't paying attention when he took our orders and brought me sweet tea. He was flirting with another table.
The other detractor was where our table was located. It was jammed in at the end of a row along an inside wall and I had to squeeze in behind the woman at the table behind me, so we were basically sitting side by side, and my aunt's chair was sitting out into the walkway so she was blocking the flow of traffic from the kitchen and every wait staffer had to pardon themselves as the managed to not hit her as they brought out food and drinks.
Foodwise... I wish I could give you a 6 and I will come again!! BUT I strongly suggest that you remove one table from the seating area so I won't have to eat bumping elbows with the lady at the...
