If you’re anywhere near OOB, do yourself a favor and go to Lazy Days Restaurant. We live here seasonally and are absolutely hooked. From breakfast to lunch and dinner, the food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently amazing. The place is spotless, the vibe is relaxed, and there’s often live music that makes it feel like you’re on vacation even if you’re not. Dave, the owner, genuinely cares about every guest, and it shows. And Kathy? She puts her heart and soul into this place. You’ll find her pouring mimosas one day and in the kitchen the next, bringing out one of her signature recipes—like the haddock chowder, which is next-level. Don’t leave without trying her pudding shots—they’re famous for a reason. Lazy Days isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. You’ll feel like family, and you’ll keep coming back. We do—every weekend. No, I’m not a paid spokesperson or a bot. 😂 GO THERE and check it out.

If you're looking for a new favorite spot in downtown OOB, Lazy Days Cafe is the place to be! The service here is exceptional, making every visit feel like a special treat. And the food? Absolutely mouthwatering! Their hollandaise sauce is out of this world – the best I’ve ever tasted, hands down. I'm officially addicted! With parking now more accessible, you’ll find us coming back more often for sure. Don't miss out on this gem – head over to Lazy Days Cafe and experience it for yourself!

Recommended by a friend and it was worth it. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The morning drinks are stiff and the coffee is made just right. But let me tell you about the Benedict, the egg made it. The cook poached it perfectly to get that soft runny yolk and the hollandaise flavor was familiar. They also have fun specials. I'd definitely come back to eat and party.

Not impressed at all. Im pretty easy going... I walked in here yesterday to eat by myself. The waitress watching tv failed to notice me walk in for at least 5 minutes even though I was the only one there, and its very hard to miss ppl walking in. No biggie. I walked up and asked for a menu.

Short story? I had to ask for every single little thing i needed she just was a terrible waitress. Ketchup. Water. Everything.

Ordered a simple breakfast plate, bacon well done. Bacon came out pretty much raw. All fat.

Asked them to take back cook it well done. Came back 2 minutes later still all fat/raw. Couldn't eat it. Asked her to take it off and she did with a rude condescending tone.

Potato's were saturated in oil and chewy. Only decent thing on my plate was the toast sadly. Coffee was also burnt and creamer was curdled.

I wont be back. They dont care here. Standards are low in maine from what i have seen so far.

Only positive is it was very sunny and nice to sit and have a coffee. But, overall Left hungry and annoyed i just...

Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish

My brother had heard great things about this place, so we stopped in on our way to the beach. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment.

The service was beyond inattentive. Our server seemed far more interested in flipping her hair and chatting than actually taking care of guests. We waited over 30 minutes for two simple breakfast dishes: hash and eggs, and eggs benedict. I asked for a well-toasted English muffin—it arrived barely warmed, let alone toasted. The potatoes were warm but bland and underseasoned.

The worst part? The blatant disregard for basic hygiene. The server repeatedly touched her face, hair, and neck, and never once washed her hands. It was enough to kill our appetite.

As a chef myself, I know how tough the industry is, and I usually give some grace. Not this...
