Rocco's Pizza — Restaurant in Old Orchard Beach

I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with my recent visit to this establishment. My overall experience was so unsatisfactory that I feel compelled to give it a one-star rating.

The primary reason behind my negative rating is the behavior of the lady operating the front register. Throughout my interaction with her, she displayed an astonishing level of rudeness and dismissiveness, especially considering the fact that she had lost my order ticket. Not only did I never receive my food, but her attitude made the situation even worse. Frustrated and disheartened, I decided to request a refund and promptly left.

To make matters worse, I witnessed an unsanitary incident while I was leaving. The staff members were handling the fries with their bare hands, which was a clear violation of hygiene standards. Witnessing this unhygienic practice affirmed my decision not to consume anything from this establishment. It's concerning to see such disregard for basic food safety procedures.

Fortunately, there are several other excellent dining options nearby, which I highly recommend exploring instead. I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for the management, urging them to improve their customer service and adhere to proper food handling practices although from their response down below, it appears they do not care.

I'm so sorry to see Rocco's good name being dishonored. I left Rocco's with a pit in my stomach after an abrasive customer service experience. I'm sure Rocco didn't want his employees treating people like that.

We were big fans of Rocco's pizza in the past. We tried it several times this season, and it wasn't great. With the season winding down, we decided to give them another try.

Yesterday we ordered a pizza. As we were driving home, my husband commented that it smelled burnt. I checked the bottom, and sure enough it was burnt. I brought it back to Rocco's. They asked what was up. I explained about the pizza being burnt.

Their response was to abrasively blame me due to the number of toppings ordered. I explained I had ordered this same pizza in the past without problems. Curtly, I was told, "Fine we'll make you an undercooked pizza."

I thought he was speaking sarcastically when he said he'd make an undercooked pizza, but that is precisely what he did. At that point, I didn't have it in me to ask for the pizza to be finished cooked or my money back.

A burnt pizza does not warrant a negative review in my book. I'm writing this review on the customer service. No one deserves to be spoken to the way I was spoken to. If I wasn't caught so off guard. I would have said so. A little "sorry" would have gone a long way. All along no sorry. No have a good day. Just $38 for an undercooked pizza.

I stopped by here today and did a video. The pizza was great the way that they put the toppings on and then put the pizza inside the oven. I only ordered a slice, but it looked outstandingly busy and I did a video on my TikTok to promote Rocco’s because I feel like it’s such a quaint little pizza place. I compare this pizza place to two other pizza places and I chose to do a quick video on this And it was really good. The staff at the window could’ve been friendlier, smiled, approachable, happier, and even up sold at the end of the day, when people are hungry, they don’t know what they want. You could say do you wanna add a drink to that? Do you wanna add a salad to that? Would you like some cookies too like they could totally be up selling, but regardless, talking from a chef and a restaurant manager in the past They needed to be smiling, but other than that, the pizza was outstanding and you can’t go wrong you have several selections of pizza and this is the one I would go to.
