Nov 2023 My sister and I came here for dinner with a group that booked a private room. A staff member at the podium directed us on where to go. The private room was in the back, past the kitchens, and to the left up some stairs. It was warm and cozy with a lower, black ceiling and partially exposed brick walls. The overhead lights were adjustable and mostly kept at a dim setting for us. I had the feeling that possibly adding fairy lights could add an outdoor feel. The tables had been arranged into a U-shape, with plates, utensils, and glasses of water already set up around the table (enough for 20 people).

The bathrooms here are also all the way in the back, but turn right once past the kitchens. Continue straight until the hallway opens up (or widens, however you say it) and the men/women bathrooms will be on the left. The doors have code locks, but seem to be kept unlocked during business hours. These are multiple stall bathrooms and seem to service more than one business. The women's bathroom had 3 plus a handicapped stall (but no automatic doors). The bathrooms were clean and dry.

Our waiter was very friendly, talkative, and informative. They told us about the specialties and gave recommendations on the food and drinks. The pot pies are the main dish here, made from scratch and freshly baked when ordered. They were very organized when taking orders, delivering food, and knowing who got which check. They were also attentive when refilling water and whenever a new person arrived after we started eating (there were a few stragglers).

A note on the desserts. I'm not sure if it's different in the main dining room, but our waiter gave us our dessert options verbally, instead of on a menu. The desserts aren't listed on the main menu or online either. Either way, our options were a brownie, buckleberry pie (a mini 3-4" pie instead of a slice), huckleberry ice cream, creme brule, and a spongy cheesecake.

All of the food was delicious, a good quality and quantity for the price. The pot pies are big, maybe 9" and come freshly baked and steaming. An interesting observation around the table was that the roasted broccoli was REALLY good and tender.

Overall, good food and good service....

This is an update to my last review even though it was a 5 star:

These are a few dishes for uptown that are recent, and did you know they have a kids menu? Well I didn't but I did post photos under updates in the above tabs. There is the cod fish and chips , kids hamburger, and a pasta called the spicy shrimp Pamodoro! Also try the adult drink the spicy poloma All were very delicious, best meals I have ever had! And this is something I say Everytime I have dinner at Uptown bar and grill. If you have yet to make your way to this restaurant you are missing out this is literally the best food in this state as far as I am concerned! Take my word for it, you will not be disappointed. I should know I am in the top 10% of restaurant reviewers on Google so make sure to head over and taste the best food in Washington!

Just had the best experience at a restaurant that I have had in a while. Anna was our Server she was very nice, attentive, and friendly, actually all the staff was. Suloman was the head chef this night and boy did he deliver some tasty dishes. Everything was beautifully made and tasted amazing as well. The honey maple glazed wings were amazing. Not only will I be back but I would be happy to take my wife here for every date night. The entire chefs brigade was fast and had amazing food please come to uptown grill it truly is amazing!

Update: just came back to uptown with my son and we had an amazing server named Dan my son said it's the best restaurants he has ever been too! I will continue to come eat here Dan was very helpful and is the manager of the restaurant he gets to know you and offers a great experience, thank you again to all the chefs for making the best...

My husband and I were looking to do date night and came across this restaurant while looking up potential places to eat at last night and we're so glad we gave this place a shot! The restaurant had a great atmosphere to it, our waitress Heidi was really nice and patient with us since it was our first time, and the food was amazing.

We were seated immediately and given an opportunity to choose where we'd like to sit. As we explored the menu, Heidi was very informative and helped us with deciding what we'd like to eat. My husband and I shared the braised pork poutine which was so good; the fries came with so much pork and it had just the right amount of seasoning. I ordered the Alaskan Cod tacos which were HUMONGOUS and my husband created his own burger with a beast patty (made with bison, elk, wagyu beef, and wild boar -- so flavorful). Our meals were very generous on portion size and incredibly tasty.

Something that caught us off guard was their "scratch kitchen" fee that they'll tack onto your bill (they disclose this at the bottom of their menu, I meant to read more about it but got distracted and didn't remember it until it was time to pay). It only added $5 more to our bill, my husband shrugged it off and left it as is, but if this is something you wouldn't want to pay into there is an option to opt out!

Despite the extra fee and tight street parking, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out! We'd love to return here again...

My roommate took me to dinner here. We're both trying to eat fairly healthy. Mostly organic if we can help it. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the menu options. (See attached photos to this review). This place does it all salmon, steak, salad, pasta, and more. I opted for the Texas Burger and upgraded to the Australian Wagyu patty. It was absolutely astounding how good it was for a burger patty. Hands down the best burger patty I've ever ate (2nd best burger). Most certainly the healthiest. They accommodated my roommates request for a Letice wrap on his burger. (See attached). It looked amazing and he gave it a two thumbs up. I was also happy to see they have vegan options as well because half my family is now vegan and it's always a challenge to find a place to eat with them. Lastly, I will conclude with the service. It was world class, and I say this having traveled my fair share around the globe. Tonight we had "Dan the man". He was great! He had the perfect mixture of fun, informative, and the correct amount of attentiveness (not to much but not leaving you on a deserted island either). Hope this review helps everyone. I know for a fact I'll be back 10/10.

I can definitely see why they were voted number 1 one best of south sound 2024. The food was absolutely 💯 delicious. We had the 3 piece cod fish and chips. I subbed for yummy sweet potato fries. My daughter went with the pork carnitas tacos, with beans and rice. Came with 3 stuffed tacos. My husband ordered the huge made by scratch chicken pot pie. Actually, everything is made by scatch. That really separates them from a lot of other restaurants. Of course, we had to treat ourselves. The brulee was so creamy and perfectly made! Plus, the peach pie of day was so cute. It's a personal pie, the size of a salad plate. An actual pie. Not a piece. See the picture. It is topped with smooth ice cream. Yummy for the tummy. Great way to end your dinner. We will most definitely be back. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The place is a bit cold for me, but I run cold. Also, most likely, due to high ceilings, it is noisy. But, if you grab a corner table, you can easily have a nice conversation. Also have to add that they have the Best Expresso Martini I have ever had. So smooth. Absolutely 💯 delicious. Definitely recommended!
