I always love the Olive Garden it has always been on my favorites list, however this day at this location there were a few problems that I think should have been a no brianer. I ordered chicken fettuccine and my original order I'm not sure what happened to the chicken breast before it arrived at the table but it was the consistency of mashed potatoes and at the thickest part the meat was still pink! Enough about plate #1, plate #2 arrived and looked great. When I went to cut the chicken breast I noticed more resistance than normal when cutting it. When I put it in my mouth and started to chew the chicken literally made a cracking and popping sound, after spitting it out I cut another peice and it was worse than the first. The whole thing was what I can only assume full of gristle! When I attempted to return this peice the waiter gave me less than polite attitude and just took the chicken and left the pasta and sauce on my plate. By this time I was beyond hungry so I ate the pasta and sauce. Eventually the waiter returned with a bread plate with one very brown dry chicken breast with no pasta or sauce. When asked the waiter said that "it was only the chicken that there was a problem with correct? " I thought I guess he thought I should sit the for 20 minutes while my pasta and sauce became ice cold untill I ate. They eventually did give me some cream sauce to eat the breast with. I don't know but when in college I worked for a similar Italian restaurant and if a customer had ANY problem with their entree the entire plate of food would be removed and expediently replaced with the same or another entree selected by the customer! I don't think that is too much to ask even from a chain restaurant with prices for launch being what they are today. I know that waiters are people and have off or bad days but when you work mostly for tips you put a smile on your face and do what you need to do than the customer is happy and wants to leave you a good tip. I was more than a little disappointed on this visit and I'm surprised but I haven't been able to eat chicken breast since the mashed potato (plate # 1 )...
Read moreParty of 5 we order a appetizer came out fast and delicious. We were told breadsticks would come out fresh from the oven. We got our soups and salad easy order everyone ordered chicken alfredo besides me tour of Italy. By the time our food arrived I saw the people who just sat down were served bread sticks so I asked for bread sticks it seemed to upset the server. I also asked about my food which she looked strange at me and left. She returned with bread sticks and said kitchen is backed up so my food will be out soon by this time almost everyone was done eating I said you know if you forgot my food that's find can you just box it to go. A different server came with the food it looked microwaved. As I paid on the tablet I could see my food on the bottom of the list as the last thing added the server said she was the manager. I asked again to just have it boxed to go and here is were it started never in my life have I been treated like they treated me as they blamed the kitchen and not having enough servers. I sat there listening to lies and stopped them saying I am not looking for a free meal I understand servers I get however treating me like I did something wrong having the staff stand around us giving me dirty looks. I literally stood up and walked out and my friend walked out behind me .....my husband was at the table to pay no worries and still holiday tip but I needed to write this as my child was also there all I asked was my food...
Read moreI met three friends at the Olive Garden on Dodge for lunch on a Sunday. We ordered the Soup & Salad, the Ravioli Appetizer, the Lasagna entree & the Create Your Own Pasta, Spaghetti & Meatball. The Lasagna looked good and the friend who ordered it had no complaints. The Soup & Salad was as we expected. The Ravioli Appetizer was as expected as well. However, the Spaghetti was watery and tasteless. We asked for half Marinara and half any cheese sauce (which was the Alfredo) and just one meatball. They up charged $2.29 for the half with Alfredo and one small Meatball was $1.79. That brought a small dish of watery Spaghetti to $17.57. Yikes! You could argue that a bread stick and Salad was included in that price but the Salad didn't look appetizing at all. The Ice Tea was a whopping $3.49. The bill for everything came to $76.57 and don't get me started on the at your table payment station which is noticably skewed towards a 20% tip. The service was passable, the server was perfunctory not pleasant and got a standard 15% tip added to the bill. Bringing the grand total to $87.65 for a modest, nothing to write home about lunch for four people. I was not wowed by anything that was served and very underwhelmed by something as simple as Spaghetti. I'm very likely not a returning customer as it is not a good value for the price and I would...
