We have visited the Scramblers in Norco, so we were very excited to have one closer to home. This new location didn't disappoint in any way. The ordering process was smooth with any menu questions we had answered. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but it was a nice day so we chose to sit in the shaded area outside the main dining room. Our first two dishes came out in a timely manner, but when the third was delayed someone came to apologize and brought out an extra side while he waited. Now the best part, the food. I had the kalua eggs benedict before so I knew my son was making a great choice and he agreed in between big bites of a perfectly poached egg (reason for the delay) and smoky, salty pork. My husband's resolve to eat half of his kalua scramble and take the rest home didn't last. It was gone, along with some perfectly crisp and browned potatoes. The surprising hit was what I ordered, the Norco fried rice. When it came to the table it looked light in color, which I took to mean less flavor. I was so wrong. It was tasty and full of meat and spinach. My favorite accompaniment was the pickled vegetables on the side. The crunch and slight sweetness was a perfect contrast to the savory rice. Fortunately I boxed up the leftover quickly so no one at the table could 'help' me finish. It tasted even better as a side last night for dinner with some extra veggies. As we lingered at the table employees checked on us often to see if we needed anything. Since it was between breakfast and lunch it wasn't crowded so we were just enjoying full tummies, a lovely day and good company. See you again...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for breakfast for the first time. They are in the plaza on the south side of Fourth Street, where Rubio's used to be. My husband was originally going to order a veggie omelette but once he saw the menu, he changed his mind and went with the Loco Moco ($17) and added a side of spam, haha. I saw the chalkboard sign outside that they had avocado toast but ultimately went with the Portuguese sausage breakfast which came with 2 eggs and potatoes ($16). Gotta try what they're known for the first time and we can always go healthy next time, right? I really wanted to try the Ube pancake and asked if I could just get a single pancake. They said I could and it was $6.00. For our drinks, I got the P.O.G. Juice ($6) and my husband got an Aloha canned drink ($3).
There are about 28 tables from what I could tell which includes an outdoor patio. After ordering, they told us which table to sit at and brought our food out . We liked the casual setting and it was nicely decorated.
Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Their sister brand is Aloha Stacks, which is so cool. I've been there before but this was my first time at Scrambler's. They were playing some old school Hawaiian jams too and made us realize we haven't been back into Hawaii in a while. We will definitely be back to try...
Read moreLooking for a Hawaiian fusion breakfast spot that won’t disappoint? Well you found it right here at the outskirts of Ontario Mills. Warm and friendly atmosphere with Hawaiian vibes flowing through to their outside patio. Their menu has a variety of options but I went with the recommendations and they satisfied my tastebuds. I ordered the Kalua Pork Benny with a side of fried rice. OMG this was oh so delicious and left me full as heck! Both of my orders are something I would get again but after exploring the rest of their tasty menu. I am a little disappointed that they close early but it is a breakfast spot. So if you want the tastebuds satisfied then...
