I come with my family here often. I usually get great service all around. Today I order 3 immune smoothies and a plate of Thai food. Because I feel a little sick I asked them if they can put extra ginger. The guy did not know if he could, so he asked his friend who was preparing the smoothies and she could and said yes. Then he started talking to another coworker and tells me. Extra ginger is extra charge. I asked how much. He could not figure it out and looks through some paper and still could not figure it out. After talking to a colleague he tells me it will be $1 each so 3 smoothies $3 extra dollars - mind that they put just little ginger not a whole piece of it. The smoothie is already over $10 with tax. A huge piece of ginger is .97 cents at the local Wallmart.
Greediness is pervasive and we should be aware of it especially when running a business. I understand that this is a business and they have a lot of things to pay for but to charge $1 for a tiny piece of extra ginger is not only ridiculous but after knowing the local price of ginger this seems immoral.
I told him don’t add the ginger and I just lost my appetite so I don’t want the Thai plate. Then he tells me…. I which I have the power to not charge you extra. I just took my smoothies with not extra ginger and left. Poor poor customer service...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place because they have great products with high-quality ingredients, but my experience today was frustrating. I spent over 10 minutes waiting while they tried to get their system to work. I understand that technology can be tricky, but after trying three different credit cards and having a manager unplug and replug the system, it still didn’t work. Honestly, if I hadn't been picking up pastries for a neighbor, I wouldn’t have waited that long. What was most disappointing, though, was the lack of apology or understanding for the time I spent waiting. Instead of addressing the issue with empathy, it felt like they were more focused on troubleshooting without considering the customer’s experience. They should’ve just told me to take the two pastries and leave, apologized for the inconvenience, and been done with it. I know technical issues happen, but it’s frustrating when the customer has to bear the inconvenience without any acknowledgment of it. I hope they can work on improving their customer service to match the quality of...
Read moreI’m so excited that Aubergine opened a bakery! There are gluten free and dairy free options, as well as quality items made with sourdough. My kids had a chocolate croissant (which i may have pinched a bit from because it just looked so good) and they loved it! Even the little bit of gluten i ate didn’t bother me at all, even though I’m gluten free. I got a hot chocolate made you cashew milk (coconut milk option available) with whipped coconut cream on the side. It wasn’t too sweet and had a roasted taste, which i really enjoy. We’ll be back to test out other goodies! The space is small, but really light and open and really...
