Entering Alien Treats, you are greeted by an enthusiastic team that goes above & beyond to show you that making sure you have a great time is at the core of their mission. We immediately noticed and loved the fantastic decorations, including alien space ship chandeliers, green lights, arcade games, and, ACK! A life size Mars Attacks martian. Truly a masterpiece.
The first of the alien treats is an entire wall of the best freeze-dried candy you will ever come across. I didn’t think I liked freeze dried candy; but it turns out that I just never had this elite quality of freeze dried candy. The owner explained how they perfected their recipe and let us try a few pieces (we ended up leaving with like 6 bags, they are so good). The freeze dried taffy is like a crisp merengue, and the freeze dried sour gummy worms are like big sour fruity cheetos. Delightful!
The real main event is the ice cream, which you can have in milkshake, sundae, or “soft serve” form, which is an awesome level of ice cream customization I’ve never come across before. The owner walked us through the menu and showed us how the “soft serve” is made, which involved scooping hard ice cream and toppings into a cup that has a giant metal drill whir everything together into a swirl of ice cream that resembles soft serve but is so, so much better.
The only way they could improve upon their already undeniable perfection would be to make their own hard ice cream (I believe they use Blue Bell) or perhaps team up with Kelly’s or someone else local who does homemade ice cream. But honestly, I’m a bit of an ice cream snob and Alien Treats is already doing the most in the best way. The truth is that the ice cream is just a vessel for the toppings joy that they serve up, anyway.
You won’t have to wait long for the team to prepare your alien treats. You can sit in the cozy arcade lounge, at high top tables adorned with various games, or at the bar where you’ll find a wall lined with all sorts of cereal. I would have given anything for a place like this growing up! There’s some nostalgia factor that makes you feel like you’re home, even if you’ve never been there. That’s at least somewhat due to the out-of-this-world service. Every customer is treated like an old friend. They’re so excited and proud to give you your order & make sure you love it. The positive vibes are infectious. That alone is worth the 40-min trip to downtown...
Read moreOut-of-this-world experience at Alien Treats! Jeremy, the owner, has truly created something special here in Orlando. Alien Treats isn’t just an ice cream shop—it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by an incredibly positive and helpful team, and the entire space radiates fun and creativity.
The interior is huge and packed with activities—arcade games, video games, tabletop games—you name it. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a treat and hang out for hours. The outdoor seating area is just as spacious and inviting, making it perfect for families or groups to relax and enjoy.
Now let’s talk about the milkshakes—wow. These are next-level. We tried three from the main menu: Area 51, The Cover-Up, and We So Exxxtra Terrestrial. Each one was uniquely crafted with bold, memorable flavors and stunning presentation. They’re indulgent in the best way.
We also couldn’t resist trying the freeze-dried candy—especially the Starburst, which was my personal favorite. The gummy clusters and sour gummy worms were equally addictive.
What truly sets Alien Treats apart, though, is its heart. They actively support the local community, donating a portion of their sales to a local autism public speaking organization. That kind of purpose-driven mission makes it even more deserving of support.
Whether you’re looking for a creative dessert, a fun place to hang out, or a business that gives back—Alien Treats delivers on all fronts. This is a must-visit...
Read moreCool shop but terrible parking ! If you’re into aliens and great thick ice cream shakes the place is for you. Owner and girlfriend very friendly and so many delicious choices of shakes will take you a bit to decide so I would advise looking at the menu ahead of time they do have specialty shakes of the month too. I am not really an ice cream person, but my daughter wanted to go. I had to drive around in circles waiting for her to come out because there was no parking, but she came out with the rice crispy shake. it is pricey at $10.95 plus tax., but I have to tell you it was the best shake I’ve ever tasted in my life. So much so I went back the next day and had to park in a tollway zone for 15 minutes just so I could get a shake for myself. if you are in the area, I would highly advise you to stop by and give this place a try because it is so expensive. It’s not something that you can do every day, but it is in a nice regentrified area of Orlando. there is a lot of seating and some free games that you can play while you are waiting so again great atmosphere great ice cream. I will definitely go back next time in the area. They would do so much better if they had better parking and better pricing great idea for a...
