Casey's On Central — Restaurant in Orlando

Let’s just start with I will never come back to this place again. We’ve been coming to this bar for the last four to five years every couple months or so and never experienced treatment like this. We were not intoxicated, just gotten to the downtown area, and just wanted them to refund a drink because the drink was made incorrectly. They refused to do it while being rude and upset that we were asking for a refund back. Maybe it’s because they were busy, maybe they were upset that they had to work on Christmas Eve, not sure what the real reason was. The patron next to us started getting into our whole conversation and because I guess I’m louder than him I was thrown out of the bar. Physically picked up and thrown out of the bar. Same with my daughter, who is 5‘2“. She was picked up the same way and thrown out of the bar by the bartender who obviously was discriminating between me and her and the customer that was sitting right next to us. She now has bruises all over her because of this. Shame on you. I’ve never been treated like this at any bar, or club, or any establishment for that matter. You could’ve simply asked me to leave. Not picked me up and thrown me out. And I’m not sure if that’s how your staff is trained, but to physically handle a woman like that, it is ridiculous. Simply asking me to leave would’ve worked, believe me. But to throw me out and physically hurt me and my daughter like this, leaving marks on mine and her body, it is unacceptable. But at least I know where you stand and how you treat your customers. We will never come back here, will never recommend this establishment and everybody will definitely...

Racism and discrimination is a common theme in this bar, as you can clearly see if you go through the 1 star reviews. The white male bartender HIS NAME IS DJ should really learn some social skills before he addresses crowds. Such a nasty individual to anyone who isn’t white. I am a short individual and I cannot see across high surfaces, DJ decided it would be cool to yell at me to “get off his bar” while I was leaning to look at what they had on tap and the moonshine menu. He proceeded to gossip about me to other patrons, including my partner and friends claiming that “I was the issue, and they were cool”. After I stepped outside, my group also told me he said verbatim “I shouldn’t even be serving you guys because you’re not tipping enough”. I of course was angered by this, since we had left a 20% tip as a group on our first round on a 60$+ tab. I went over to speak to the supervisor and DJ ran through the bar to berate me again and call me a liar, even though there were SEVERAL patrons complaining and signaling him out for his nasty and rude behavior: in summary, if Casey’s wants to thrive and actually have people come back, maybe they should train their bartenders to not be entitled, combative, rude and genuinely...

Anyone give this place less than a five star probably an a* h*. Which is fine not all people are great anyway. Cheers of Orlando, Excellent Atmosphere, great musicians all true American style, Business culture shows that the ownership is not looking at you as a mere transaction but a cherished companion. This is evident thru the dedication and longevity of their staff some of whom working here like 20 years and they are still passionate of what they do. Whether you are all by yourself or on a date or celebrating birthday this is the place will make your day memorable. Truly affordable menu in town also makes me feel like the owners treating this like a community service more than a business. Real girls working here whom have a true beautiful smile that resembles the warmth and kindness that resides within their heart instead of a mere facade to attract more people to come.
