They believe in customer service! I stopped in on way to a show at Dr Phillips center and ordered their curry chicken. Out came what looked like and tasted like jerk chicken. As I was looking at my receipt the guy behind the counter saw my concern and came out to ask me what was wrong. I started to tell him that I thought I had ordered the curry chicken and he interrupted by saying "you ordered the curry chicken and I put the order in wrong. Keep what you have and I'll have the curry chicken out shortly." I tried to protest, saying that the jerk chicken was delicious and I would be fine with that. He would not hear of that. "Eat what you can and take the rest home". Both dishes were wonderful and each was more than a meal in itself. I told him that I loved him now but would hate him in the morning after weighing myself and he replied that he was also a personal trainer and could help me there as well. Small, somewhat dingy place with a few tables, probably catering more to takeout than eat in, but the staff (one guy behind the counter and someone else in the kitchen) were delightful. I wish I could give them less stars for service. I walked in a little after 530pm and checked out the menu, then waited for over 5 minutes at the counter before I was greeted. Turns out the cashier was sitting at a table with other guests directly behind me. Eventually when she got up, she went back and forth to the backroom (directly past me) multiple times to grab drinks and other things for the group she was sitting with, then she assisted the gentleman that was at the counter when I walked in.... then after all that was finally done, she looks at me and says hi. I tried ordering the jerk chicken wings appetizer, the chicken noodles soup and the soup sop, guava juice all to no avail... apparently even though it's all on the menu, they "don't have it"... After I ordered the jerk chicken and a soda, she brings out a little to go container and asks me if I want a bag to take it and leave. The whole time I just felt like she couldn't wait for me to leave even though I was nothing but kind and understanding. I sat down and ate my chicken at the restaurant instead. If I could give it zero stars, I would. My boyfriend and I were served REAL meat after telling the cashier multiple times we are vegan. She even admitted to the vegan option looking like real meat. Usually my boyfriend and I are pretty good about telling the difference but after receiving confirmation from the establishment that we had nothing to worry about, we thought we could trust them. After driving home, and eating the food, we discovered the food we were served was indeed not vegan, but REAL meat. I threw up multiple times. After calling the establishment, they confirmed we were served the wrong food and their excuse was that there was a new cook in the kitchen. We were promised a full refund and the proper food on arrival to the restaurant, only to drive back to be given the option of the food OR a PARTIAL refund…. What a waste of time, could have been done over the phone. Then as we were waiting to get the refund, we saw others check through their food to make sure they had the proper food they ordered. This made us realize this establishment had probably given out wrong orders before! What a joke. Very disappointed, please...
