Had a great time at Jernigan's!! A very different way to experience a basketball game!! We booked a table 30 minutes to tipoff on OpenTable (check Kia Center website for direct link to their OpenTable page) and we got a great table right above the restaurant's tabletop seating (which was fully booked) and with a fantastic view of the court. This is buffet-style with beer and wine included; cocktails are separate -- the pricing we got was $87 per plate excluding the drinks. Vibe was more upscale-dinner-restaurant than sports bar, which was a surprise. The seating was for the whole game -- we were seated at tipoff and we were at our table for the whole game. You do need a ticket to the game to get into the Kia Center-- so just buy the cheapest tickets you can find since you probably won't even use those seats. Food was good and there was a good variety to choose from....
Read moreYes, this is a great way to watch the game. And yes it is a buffett, so you would think that the service would not matter that much. But i have to say that the service has been consistently bad when i have come here. We were halfway through meal before our server came over. Let me give you some tips if you encounter the same level of service we did. 1. If you cant find a clean plate, take one from an empty table. 2. If you need a refill of water there are metal pitchers you can grab yourself. 3. They do not do a very good job in replenishing the buffett, if there is something you like grab it early. 4. They are a little stingy at the carving station, dont be shy, ask for more if you like. They know you are there to watch the game so they really do not try that hard, keep your expectations low for the restaurant and...
Read moreI thought this would be nice for my wife and I to go here before the Rascal Flatts Concert. The price was $60.00 per person for basically finger food and drinks. Additionally, they did not initially provide everything that was promised on the menu for the night. I had to ask about the missing dessert items listed on menu. I first started by asking if dessert was being severed and I was told no. I had to show someone that the menu stated assorted desserts. Once I showed who I thought was the manager they brought out 3 trays of cookies. That does not sound like assorted desserts. That just sounds like cookies. Cookies for a cliental that where mostly adults. Why should a customer have to remind a restaurant what is on their menu? Especially a restaurant charging...
