Last Night:
Delivered our wings with sauce all over the bag. Delivery driver said he bumped into someone in our hallway and the wings fell over. He said that sauce spilled in the bag but the wings should be okay. He handed me the bag of wings and they were dripping out the bag. They spilled on my pants and all over the floor. While I was trying to clean it up so my dog didn't eat hot wing sauce, he kept knocking on my door impatiently asking for the signed receipt. He got it less than 2 minutes later. I checked the wings after he left and I would of never thought it was possible that with so much sauce all over everything else that the wings would be dry. The bag was completely soaked. I ordered at 1:17 AM, I received the wings about 2:20 AM and by the time it was around 2:30 AM. I called back and told them what happened and it was so late that I was going to sleep and just wanted a make up order tomorrow. The woman I spoke to said that would be fine.
Tonight:
I called tonight and was told that I took responsibility for the condition of the wings by accepting them at my door. I was told by the delivery driver, who says he's the "Manager", that I should of not accepted the wings and said something at the door about them. This is the same guy who's at my door banging and saying "I really need that credit card" 10 times while I'm trying to keep my dog out of the sauce which was all over my pants and my floor. If this is the manager then we're all screwed.
The delivery driver bumps into someone in my hallway and drops the bag of wings. He gives me this leaky bag and It spills on my pants and hallway.
All I asked for was to have the wings remade because they had no sauce. I offered to give them almost all the wings back, because they weren't edibile. I didn't even get to mention the fries being cold / not all the way cooked.
I spent 40 minutes on the phone last night "fixing it". And another 20...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: I’ve now been to Panino’s Pizza & Grill twice, and both visits left me impressed.
On my first visit, I ordered the Tomatoes, Spinach & Ricotta slice (thin-sliced tomatoes, fresh spinach, mozzarella, and ricotta cheese), while my friend went with the classic pepperoni. Both slices were flavorful, cheesy, and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes are huge for the price two slices and two Gatorades came out to just $20, which is a great value compared to other spots in the area. At that time, the shop itself felt like it could use some updates and clearer signage, but the food easily made up for it.
When I came back for my second visit, the experience was even better. This time, I got a pepperoni slice and my friend ordered cheese. Right when we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the man working, who seemed genuinely happy to welcome every customer that came through the door. The service was quick our pizzas were cooked fast and brought out hot and fresh. I ordered two Crush sodas along with our slices, and the total came out to just $19 before tip, which felt like an amazing deal for the quality and size of the portions.
I also noticed they had updated the space since my first visit. The dining area looks much nicer now, giving it more of a sit down, dine in vibe. The atmosphere feels cleaner, brighter, and more inviting, and they even have a bathroom available for customers, which makes it more convenient if you want to stay and eat your food there instead of just grabbing it to go!
Overall, Panino’s is a great spot if you’re looking for fresh, flavorful, and generously sized pizza at an affordable price. Between the warm customer service, tasty food, and improved atmosphere, I can confidently say it’s one of the best local options for a satisfying slice. Highly recommend checking it out whether you’re a regular in the area or just...
Read morePanino's has the greasiest, most delicious, late-night pizza you could ever dream of. I loved coming here after hanging out downtown to enjoy the best ticket to a heart attack.
I say "loved" (past tense), because nothing ruins a perfectly great night downtown better than GETTING LOCKED IN THE BATHROOM. After a few hours of dancing, I'm hungry and I also need to use the bathroom, so I walk in and head straight to the ladies' room in the back. After my business, I unlock the door and tug, thinking it would open like normal, but no, it doesn't, so I think it's a very heavy door. I pull with all my might, putting my foot up on the wall like in cartoons, and it doesn't budge. I hear people talking outside, saying how I won't open the door, but I'm trying! I call out to them to help me push the door so I can get out.
I'm stranded in there, which is not like getting stuck in an elevator; at least the latter means that the device is not operational and they have someone coming to fix it, but a bathroom door -- that needs to be operational 24/7. I struggle to get out for a few minutes and when I finally get out, a guy tells me that they (the restaurant) actually controls the bathroom doors from the front, which baffled me.
The guy in the front tells us that there is a BUTTON they press to "stop homeless people from using the bathroom" that locks all the doors automatically. He was very rude and said he didn't do it on purpose, but there are NO signs or any indication that homeless people are not allowed to use the bathroom? Whether I am homeless or not, I don't think it's doing anyone any good to LOCK someone in there like an animal. I was ready to pay good money for some good pizza, but after this incident, I am definitely not coming back, because who has time for this garbage.
They need to change this policy or go out of...
