Starbucks at Cabana Bay Beach Resort — Restaurant in Orlando

We have been staying at the Cabana Bay the last 3 days and have been recurring guests the last few years because we love this hotel. Our morning ritual is to get a coffee and a snack and typically the service is amazing! The last two days we have had Jess take our order and she is incredibly kind, proficient and personable.

I would give today 1 star, I’m adding the extra because it is not normally like this and staff is friendly. This morning… I couldn’t tell you the name of who took our order but she had black hair and skinny pink eyeliner. She had taken our order incorrectly when writing on the cup to her peers. Which fine, people make mistakes. My mother in law ordered a coffee frappuccino w/ double decaf shots… and then they added a caramel drizzle which she didn’t realize came with the drink? And no decaf shots added. She took it anyway, no complaints. My husband just wanted a venti cold brew. He received it with sweetener and had me taste it to verify. He went to let the barista Kat know and she looked at it and said there is no sweetener and carried on without fixing the issue. I came up to her again to let her know kindly that there is definitely sweetener and he will not drink it and to please have it remade without it. She picked up the cup, threw the rest in the sink with attitude, rinsed the same cup and quickly remade it without a word. Working in customer service for as well over 10 years… I feel that it was not a proper response or attitude to deal with a mistake. Went here 5+ times during my stay. Absolutely fantastic Starbucks location. Staff was awesome, friendly and the drinks were made perfect every time. It was also extremely fast. Got lattes in about 5 minutes each day at around 645am, I was shocked with the speed and quality. Luckily, this location does not do mobile ordering, so they are able to give quick and quality service to those in line. This location is not chaotic like many other Starbucks, easily one of my favorite franchise locations from the 50+ I’ve been to around the US. Probably only downside is drinks are all about $1 or so more than at regular Starbucks locations. However, the free ice water instead of buying a $5 water at the store next door more than makes up for paying the extra $1...

We were at the beach resort to go to Volcano Bay to celebrate my nephew turning 8. We went to Starbucks for the seating where we had gifts and cupcakes to celebrate his birthday. Keven who works at Starbucks noticed the mini birthday celebration we were having and turned it into a great affair. Out of nowhere, he brought several balloons (maybe 20) and even gave my nephew a gift!! (Cake-pop) This detail may have been a small gesture for Keven, but it was a HUGE deal to us!
