Angelina’s Diner — Restaurant in Ormond Beach

This little diner just happened to be right across from our hotel. I love the smaller, quieter places so I figured I'd give it a try. And let me tell you.. this place, their food, their service, their prices, I will rate all of it with 5 stars and more. There is not enough words I could find to describe this place. Not only were they friendly, not only was the place clean, but their food was out of this world!! It all tasted like made from scratch type food..something that your grandma would make. The prices are great and the amount of food that you get is insane!! I always get salads and normally most places you get a little bit of lettuce, a couple pieces of cheese, maybe a cucumber and very little dressing... BUT this place loads your salads with whatever you want, however you like it and they make their own Ranch Dressing (which we happen to buy a gallon of to take home because it was that good) 😊 My boyfriend got pork chops and gravy and a hamburger and french fries on the two occasions that we went. He was speechless at one point..And to make my boyfriend speechless, I thought was impossible. He talked about that place non-stop on the way home to Kentucky. Needless to say, we would have went more had we found out about this place sooner. If you're down in the Ormond Beach/Daytona area, you must stop at this diner. You don't know what you're missing. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner..you must go to this place to eat. Trust me, you won't regret it!! We will definitely be...

This was our 4th time dining at Angelina’s. The first few times were great, which is why we have kept coming back. Tonight was a very different experience. Two of our kids ordered the egg sandwiches, and have in the past. They come on Kaiser rolls with egg, cheese and bacon. When the food got there, the sandwiches were on croissants. She immediately took them back to fix them. I asked if they might be out of Kaiser rolls. She said no, they had the rolls. When they came out again, they were on plain hamburger buns and were missing the bacon. So she brought out bacon on a separate plate to add but it was horribly cooked. Looked raw and was rubbery, not crispy like it had been in the past.

I ordered the vegetable platter that said it came with sliced tomato, red potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms, and a vegetable of the day. When my food arrived it was not even close to that. The plate was full of zucchini, squash, mushrooms, red and green bell peppers and red onions. I can’t eat onions and I don’t like bell peppers, but I was so bothered by the issues with our kids food, that I didn’t even care to say anything. My husband has gotten the grilled ham and cheese the last few times we’ve eaten there and tonight the ham was overcooked and hard. On top of having random flakes of lettuce on his plate. Overall, we were truly disappointed in our visit and we are honestly leery about going back again...

Good review or not, it is what you want to experience

The first time was when they first opened and the whole experience was a disaster.

I chalked it up to being new and will give them another chance at another date.

Again, 2nd time, (yesterday), We went again and it was worse than the first time.

Now, I know we are in a tourist area but, they are a diner with high $$$ restaurant prices.

Salads start at $15.99. Dinner seems to have different prices from the online menu.

(Now, we eat out a lot so I look for better priced eateries.)

Breakfast is high dollar and so are the dinners. (They should be compatible with the other diners)

Well, my husband's bread and burger were both burnt. Same as last time, he specifically tells the server any type of cheese but not AMERICAN!!! I don't know what he has against American cheese, I don't like any type of cheese

Oh, you can guess what cheese he received.

My sausage was cooked first, then without cleaning the grill, my eggs were cooked. You know, dried brown eggs. The only flavor they had was from the sausage itself.

I looked around and saw the same for other customers. (Same as last time)

I don't like seeing tourists and especially us locals being charged high dollar not so tasty meals just because we are in...
