Let me start off saying that we’re not big on writing reviews especially if they’re aren’t the positive end but when you eat somewhere that claims to pride themselve on a kitchen that is “chef driven scratch kitchen featuring hand cut steaks”you expect something that is anything but SUPBAR at best!! Reading these reviews I’m actually baffled at how many are actually good reviews. Talk about misleading we had six in our party and no one, Absolutely no one had anything good to say about their meal. My son a teen who’s really not hard to please complained steak was chewy and we ordered it medium. Not to mention there’s no consistency in the portion of their sides. My husband steak was overcooked also ordered medium. He didn’t even bother finishing it. Another ordered supposed crab stuffed salmon which should be called a “salmon lightly topped with crab.” Not only was the salmon portion small and thin. We asked the server was not crab stuffed she mentioned they slice on top and “stuff” which in these circumstances I would use the world lightly, with one simple flip of the fork we were able to show her was not slice in and crab was maybe a teaspoon and a half in amount and sadly salmon was bland. Pretty difficult to mess up salmon. French onion soup was bland and watery. Kids Mac and cheese was more like noodle soup. Kids tenders was like they took two tenders sliced each in half to make two more tenders. The only meal that was maybe “OKAY” was the Tuscan chicken . Very disappointing. Then to receive a bill $200 for a meal that doesn’t deserve two stars it’s a shame. I say this to save someone else from disappointment. We went to sleep thinking about it and woke up still thinking about it.Yes, it was THAT bad. And to see their mission statement that they claim to be “COMMITTED TO PROVIDING BLOW AWAY EXPERIENCES “ I am blown away, blown away by the AUDACITY. I believe they because they have a great location they get a lot of tourist who visit one time but def don’t come back. They’re surviving over elder locals who prefer bland food and really come for a couple drinks in a prime location. Do not recommend.

I come with my kids and sister, had my photographer suggest this place being really great. Food was fine, it was about 8 when we got there they closed at 9. So I wasn’t expecting everything to be super fresh, but non the less it was.

However, we were greeted by the kind hostess and got sat rather quick. But waited 10 minutes for the waitress to even greet us at the table. After passing us as we were being seated, she proceeded to tell us how she didn’t see us. She was stumbling over her words and swaying as if she were intoxicated. She walked away snd bumped into the wall and sounded like she ran into something and knocked stuff over. She brought back the drinks and they were wrong. She supposedly went to get my sons drink after bringing drinks back for every one but him. Passed our table multiple times and even brought the table across from us a refill and their check. Another server come up and asked us if we needed our drinks to go.. we hadn’t even had our order taken at this point.

A gentleman come to check on us, told him about the drink and he went to get it. She come up to the table after he walked away and I told her he was getting the drink, she walked away. He come back with the drink and she come to take our order. She wouldn’t even let me order my kids meals without interrupting and telling me I should just “split their Mac n cheese and fries and if they needed more fries she would get them for us for free”.

The food come out quickly, didn’t get the loaded on the mashed potatoes or baked potato. I never received my green beans. Multiple people walked up to the table asking us how everything was and continued to walk by, we felt rushed to hurry up and leave because it was closing time.

Being a server for 6+ years, I have high expectations when I go out. 9/10 I never complain because I understand the serving world. However, I have also never felt rushed or had a server take as long to greet the table and completely get drinks wrong. Of course, I still tipped the waitress but for the price of a the ribeye I would have liked to sit and actually enjoy it rather than being rushed. I am a local who has dined at Stonewood since the day they opened their doors. Always buy hundreds of dollars of gift cards each holiday. Even have known to eat dinner there sometimes once a week. The last 4 times we have visited has been such a HUGE disappointment! A few weeks ago we went and the service team was actually rude, and they "know us" from being locals. We decided to give it another shot this past week. 4 of us were sitting at a high top in the bar area. My son and daughter in law arrived about 5 min before my husband and I. They were sat, but never again greeted by anyone. No water, silverset, etc. Only reason they had menu's was b/c the host sat them. When we arrived, the same. CRICKETS! We finally asked a server who was passing by if she could please get our server. She happily said yes. Again, NO ONE! Now have been there no less than 10 min without. We then asked a 2nd server who was again friendly and apologized and went straight to another server (male) who clearly was suppose to be ours. The two of them just bickered back and forth in plain sight pointing to our table. My son and his wife (who were facing them and witnessed it all) became extremely uncomfortable. My husband and I turned at that point to see the same behavior. It was astonishing! So unprofessional. Not to mention it was not very busy either. Now it is going on over 12 min. We left. It's unfortunate because this once was our "go to" and recommendation to others restaurant. NOT ANYMORE! I put a lot on management- or should I say lack of!
