Catrina Fresh Mex — Restaurant in Owasso

I ordered a take away order today. It was my first time in as a customer. I was excited to try out the food, but the staff need to work on their customer service. My order was ready except for the drinks. When they go to fill the drinks, I hear ice; however, I specifically asked for no ice when I placed the order. I had to repeatedly say “no ice” until she could hear me. When she finally heard me, the other workers looked at her as if she was upset. One other worker said I didn’t have that in my order. I told her that I did. When they give me my drinks, I was perplexed because I ordered 32 oz drinks and not 16 oz drinks. I’m pretty sure I over paid and didn’t receive the right size drinks. When I said if these were the right size, the girl looked confused and said yes. When I asked what size were the larger ones, she just said “those are the large”. I’m certain the “large” are the 32 oz drinks and not what I received.

This is very disappointing as I’ve heard good things about this place, but if this is how they treat their customers, then I won’t be returning or recommending people here.

In addition, when I’m outside putting my order in my car, I could see the workers looking outside at me laughing.

Ridiculing customers shouldn’t be an automatic reaction to their mistakes. I was nice despite their rudeness.

If you do order from here, make sure you check your order and submit a complain...

Happy to have a Catrina Fresh Mex in Owasso. We dined in, but it's really more of a take-out kind of place. The menu is a bit overwhelming when you walk in (over 12 burritos PLUS the breakfast ones that are served all day). Plus there are bowl options, tortas, and tacos.

I tried the California burrito. The steak was really good but there were more potatoes than steak. Not sure there were French fries in it (as an authentic one would have). The potato stuffing was more like hash browns. I would order it again though.

Did I mention the burritos are HUGE? Definitely could split one. We also tried three street tacos (al pastor, steak and chicken). Very good as well. The side of rice (extra) was fluffy but needed a bit of salsa.

Chips and salsa (also extra) were good. We tried the medium salsa (available in mild, medium, or hot). The medium was plenty spicy for us. The interior is fresh and clean and I LOVE the mural.

If I could give this place, zero stars, I would. The food was so bad I couldn’t even eat it all. It instantly made me feel sick. I started throwing up when I left the store. The meat was not seasoned driest tacos I’ve ever tasted. Right when I walked in the lady at the counter was giving me death glares horrible attitude from her. She was very rude. The food was ridiculous expensive $33 for 10 tacos not to mention I added cheese on my boyfriend’s tacos and it was an extra $1 per taco. I never write Bad reviews, but this place deserved it. I went out of my way to try this place, and I immediately regretted it. Do not come HERE!!! It is a waste of time and money. Also, you’ll probably get food poisoning from this place. I’ve been feeling sick all day because of it. If you want real authentic good tacos, go anywhere...
