Nice new addition to the already top heavy Owasso lineup for mexican food places. I ventured in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I was seated immediately, and offered a menu, chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were good, as one would expect, but they threw in a little curve ball, in the form of some type of spicy ranch type concoction, that was, to put it simply, as addicting as crack. I love that stuff, whatever it is. It could be made out of garden slugs and old gym socks, and I wouldn't care. But, onward..... After looking at the menu, I spied an offering of enchiladas suizas, one of my regulars I get from another local establishment, and went with those, just to compare tomatillos to tomatillos. The small order of queso arrived quickly and was very good. Nice and creamy, a little thick, but not too much, and very flavorful. On the heels of that came my lunch. The only swipe I can take was the $*#% peas in the rice. I HATE PEAS. And I don't understand why mexican places want to add them. But that's on me, so I never count off for it. That said, the rice was probably the least favorite thing on the plate. Fairly bland and a little too wet, it was reminiscent of a Patio TV dinner portion of rice. It was edible, for sure, just not the best thing on the plate. The beans however, those were good. Good brown color (I hate gray refried beans), mildly spicy, and the right consistency for me. Good job on those. The enchiladas were also very well executed. While smaller than that 'other place', there were three of them, and all three were great. Well seasoned, a good amount of the requisite tomatillo sauce and a fairly moist chicken filling. White meat is so hard to keep moist, but these were well done. Overall, I plan on dragging The Fam back in when possible to get their weigh in, but I think Uncle Paco's is going to be an addition to our...

Read morePlace seemed super good when it first opened. It’s gone downhill. Like most places they start strong trying to impress people and then go downhill trying to save money. We live in Claremore and were in Owasso shopping. Decided to do a pickup order. I ordered carne asada street tacos. We get home 30 minutes later and start eating. They put fajita meat on some raw corn tortillas. I didn’t order fajitas, I order carne asada street tacos. Laziest shit I’ve ever seen. Couldn’t even finish one. Just an over seasoned, tough pile of crap. When I called to tell them there was just silence. Then he finally asked if I wanted to return the food and get more. Why would I want more of the same thing? Plus I had explained that we live in Claremore. They don’t care. I get so tired of places being glad to take your money and not caring about quality. Our last visit all of our food was overcooked as well, I just wrote it off as a bad day. We won’t be coming back. I would stay away if I were you. Bricktown Brewery and Ichiban Japanese steakhouse is always consistently good if you want a place to eat. If you want good Mexican or Tex mex stay away...
