The food and atmosphere is amazing... BLACK EXCELLENCE is in Owings Mills hunny! I only have 4 stars for service because the communication in my first - time experience between the cashier and I could've been stronger. It's the ONLY reason but we are all human.🫶🏾 I told the lovely cashier that it was me and my daughters first time there while we were viewing the huge menu posted in back of her while ordering. I ordered the cheese steak sub w/ fries (😋 perfect), Hue wings - these are cauliflower "wings" (BBQ FLAVOR) the shrimp po' boy sub w/ fries, and two peach fuzz lemonades, and a pack of cookies. The cookies sit at the front next to the registers and we waited 15 min for the order to be prepared. I spent a little over 80.00 for this meal for my daughter and I.

Side Note About How AWESOME this place is: There are dry herbs for purchase, and even a "gut buster" tonic for purchase. There's large jars one with vegetable glycerin, one with Apple Cider Vinegar, and another I can't recall at the moment., but the herb station is beautiful. You can learn while you're there. 😊🫶🏾😊💯 Awesome place to sit and wait , even bar stools for if u want to sit at the bar table and charge your phone / laptop/ tablet. BEAUTIFUL ATMOSPHERE 🫶🏾💯

When I was called (they take your first name), I picked up my big paper bag and the food smelled so good. My daughters and I got in the car and I realized we were missing our drinks so I went back inside.the girl saysI paid one drink. Why is that when I asked for TWO? So my bad, I spent well over 80.00 by this point. But I get back in the car and head to Howard County. The food was amazing, it's actually enough for four people because of he subs are so big and filled generously. I look in the bag for the cookies and they aren't there. I call and a nice young lady answers and says "you're supposed to pick up the cookies at the front". 🤔Bless her heart. How are people just ' supposed to know' where to get their cookies? These two mistakes (drinks and cookies) will NOT stop me from patronizing this lovely Black - Owned Business, but it's my "heads up" to customers to just "check your orders", to be on the safest side. Luckily I will be coming to Owings Mills within the next week and the lady told me I can grab them then after I announce myself to let them know "I'm (name undisclosed), the cookie lady"🫶🏾😊

I REALLY hope this business stays here for the long haul. They are healing people with these amazing vegan foods and healing ingredients. The meal lasted TWO DAYS between my teenager and 20year old. I ate half of the shrimp po' boy sub and was so full I gave the rest to them. My 10 year old ate 2/2 the cheese steak sub and was full ! Next day (yesterday) she and her sister ate her cauliflower wings and they finished the subs and fries between lunch and dinner. MUCH L❤️VE TO HUE CAFE $...

1st of all I'm late to find out this place has been open at least 6 months. I love to be the 1st or 2nd person to visit a new establishment but it's ok, I got all the delicious tea on this place before I arrived. My Yelp fam definitely definitely provided great reviews on what to expect and they were right.

Visited on 1'14'2022 for son's birthday lunch. I was totally impressed with the layout of this establishment. I loved ever bit of décor and tranquility. Food/ beverage ordering counter to the right, health liquids, teas, etc to the left.

They have indoor seating which is very important. Each table has a live plants as well as sanitizer, clean table tops, spacious dining area, window seating as well as plenty of natural light.

The young lady that assisted us was so kind and helpful with the menu. As soon as we sat down a nice slightly older lady came over to ask if it was our 1st visit. "Yes it is our 1st visit", she brought us out 3 delicious samples of tea/ beverages!I thought that was a great customer service touch and a good way to get familiar with their beverages before investing. Each of the 3 were worth the price!

We ordered Hue Wings (Garlic Herb), Fried Potatoes, The Steak Sub, Hot Apple Cider and each and everything came out delicious! I am so looking forward to returning back next week to order more.

Although we didn't get a chance to venture to the other side of the establishment, I read before going that they do sell plenty of health items to assist with digestive system, heart, etc. I'm definitely looking for natural items to assist in all areas of health.

Can't wait to return.

1'22'2022 Returned back after raving about this place w foodie gf.

We came in midday Saturday for lunch and was elated to view their brunch menu. We both ordered Creole Shrimp and Grits. I ordered a Peach Mint Lemonade and my gf ordered a Rose Latte. The Creole Shrimp and Grits were amazing !! It had great meat substitutions for Shrimp, Turkey Bacon and Sausage that were amazing! The flavor had a great kick to it. My Peach Mint Tea was so tasty. My gf loved her Rose Latte.she sipped and savored each drop.

I ventured to the health counter and snatched a generous sized Elderberry. Right on time!! Anything to build this immune system stronger and stronger. It was kept in a transparent fridge w Sea Moss and other liquids. I've been taking my Elderberry daily, amazing taste.

I was totally taken away w today's experience and cannot wait to return to try their Blueberry Waffles and Turkey Bacon for brunch as well as snatch a Sea Moss for continued wellness.

This establishment was definitely needed in this area and I'm glad be able to experience this black owned business...

This place!!!! The food is amazing. I mean everything…from the food to the drinks, unfortunately I haven’t tasted any of the desserts because the entree portion sizes are so big, I literally had no room left in my belly! I’m pescatarian and moving more to a full vegan lifestyle so finding nice restaurants that cater to that have become my new hobby☺️. This one has definitely made the list. First location…easy to find, situated in an area that is surrounded by great stores and strip malls, right off of the beltway, and has ample parking. Second staff…all of the staff is very polite, gave great recommendations, and were friendly…all factors that are important to me when I’m gonna be spending my coins! Look & Feel of the establishment…very appealing look, love the authenticity and uniqueness of how the menu is written on the wall, there are so many items for purchase like teas, incense, cookware, etc., very clean, dine in is available as well as outside seating…which we enjoyed, and you can actually see part of the kitchen where your food is being prepared. Lastly, THE FOOD…so delicious and this is why I gave the restaurant 5⭐️. We enjoyed the lentil burger, Veggie Egg Foo Young, Maple Candied Bacon, Brown Sugar Buffalo Hue Wings. Everything had a great taste, seasoning, and cooked just right! I’ve had cauliflower bites before but the hue wings were exceptionally good! The Veggie Egg Foo Young was very tasty and enough for at least 2-3 servings so it can be shared. The gravy was vey tasty and it incorporated sweet potatoes, which I love and it gave it a great flavor. Last mention are the drinks…the Peach Rose Lemonade is a MUST TRY! Just the perfect amount of sweetness with a southern touch that makes you want to order a second one to go, lol. I need the recipe! If you’re in search for a vegan restaurant to tickle your palate…stop by The Hue, you’ll definitely find something and you’ll keep going...
