Disappointing Experience at Panera Bread - Missing Items and Inadequate Resolution
My recent visit to Panera Bread at The Collection in Oxnard left much to be desired, resulting in a frustrating experience. Here's a detailed account of the issues faced during this visit:
Issues Faced: Missing Items in Order: The initial order included only one bread bowl, one bread, one sandwich, and two bags of chips, despite the purchase of two sandwiches. This oversight caused inconvenience and disappointment.
Ineffective Communication: When reporting the issue to the staff over the phone, there was a lack of effective communication. The employee failed to provide a name and suggested a return to the restaurant for a fresh sandwich without offering any compensation for the inconvenience.
Incomplete Resolution: Upon returning to the restaurant, the promised sandwich was not ready, leading to additional wait time. To further complicate matters, upon checking the bag, it was discovered that only the sandwich and another bag of chips were included, lacking any compensatory items.
Inadequate Compensation: The staff failed to provide any form of compensation for the inconvenience caused by the incorrect order, the need for a return trip, and the subsequent delay in enjoying the purchased items.
Quality Compromised: The need to reheat the food at home due to the extended commute resulted in a compromised dining experience with cold food.
Conclusion: This experience at Panera Bread was marred by poor attention to detail, ineffective communication, and an inadequate resolution process. The overall quality of service and customer satisfaction suffered significantly.
Recommendation: Based on this experience, it's suggested that Panera Bread at The Collection in Oxnard reassess its order fulfillment processes, enhance communication with customers, and consider offering appropriate compensation in situations where mistakes are made to ensure a more positive...
Read moreI was so disappointed in the food that was delivered. The 1/2 steak and cheddar sandwich was a joke! It was so flat I couldn't even tell what was inside except for 2 small pieces of beef sticking out. Both pieces of bread were literally closed. Obviously, the portion sizes have been drastically cut while prices have risen. The almond chicken salad 1/2 sandwich looked fine with lettuce and tomato sticking from the bread. Chicken salad tasted good but, again, portion size had been cut. The salad did not even cover the entire bottom half of the sandwich. Turkey chili tasted delicious but it was difficult to find any ground turkey. It was all beans. 2 pieces of baguette were put loose in the large paper bag. They were not wrapped nor placed in a container. The $7+ drink I ordered was not delivered and yes I am getting a refund for that through Grubhub. Flatbread pizza was the only part of the dinner we enjoyed. $51 spent (not counting the beverage refund) and such a disappointment! Not the Panera of a year or so ago. Not sure if I'll ever return.
I gave this food 2 stars and yet after I posted it showed 4 stars with a numerical value of 3.8???????? So I edited...
Read moreAll Panera locations and offerings have seriously gone far downhill! This location is the worst I've been to so far, after coming to these establishments for more than 10 years, it costs an average of $11 to get a substandard made soup and half sandwich, which used to be like $6.79. The bread used to be amazing, and now even that basic is doughy, and lackluster. See pix of the sourdough bread bowl that has zero crunch and is half full when brought to the table. This particular location is especially dirty.... had to go to 5 tables before finally settling and wiping off a "clean" one from the piles of debris. I can't bring myself to finish this or pay for this over commercialized garbage again at premium prices. Done. Sad....I used to be a regular customer, minimum one a week. Oh yes... and they didn't bring me a spoon for my soup.... and said they would be back. Never did till I reached someone down, and they gave me a to go plastic spoon lol. Keep it...
