First things First- Kia is an amazing ASSET to the dining experience and the company. She was extremely attentive and helpful. She didn’t even mention until we were about to exit she’d actually been on shift as long as she had and with her charisma and dedication to service prior to knowing, she was so fresh and on top of everything there’s NOWAY we’d have ever known. I plan to try to visit during times she’s working, when I choose Applebees. I must be honest I’ve been avoiding them for the last several years and honestly whipped in as a “they’re open later than other places and have some 5.00 drink specials; I’ll just go there” so we did and I’m glad we did! The ladies night was wrapped up with our dinner here. There were three of us ages from 70 to 24- we ALL enjoyed the experience, the food was good (again), with a gluten sensitivity it was nice to see that detail clearly marked in the menu, the atmosphere was clean, and again the service outstanding. I didn’t catch the bartender’s name, but also extremely impressed with the service and quality of drinks provided. Overall, tonight really reframed my opinion regarding Applebees restaurant all over again, restored my previous enjoyment of the long resisted visits. The food was all prepared very well and with the specials, was a very reasonable expense. I’m telling you- at least this Applebees has stepped back up to the plate in every aspect and the face we experienced through our server Kia won back my business! Pleasantly surprised and well worth the visit, especially if I can encounter Kia for service again. Management picked a winner with her!!!! We had chips with queso, the endless shrimp, boneless wings, or riblets, and the chicken, shrimp, and garlic/onion mashed potatoes. All items were as expected and delicious. The only thing we’d have to say we didn’t recommend would be the Breaking Rock Rita… I am not sure what that flavor was, but it just seemed very bitter. It was not like ANY other we’d ever tried, so if you would typically like a margarita this one is very “bitter” and if you don’t like them normally, but do like a pungent drink and would typically avoid a margarita- this might actually be one you’d enjoy. We can’t suggest it, personally. We were very well taken care of by staff with that hiccup, sooo I can’t complain. It’s just the only downside we had in this visit so wanted to mention it. If you get in during the drink special with the tipsy Cupid, it...
Read moreShould be 0 stars for sure!!!! I Tried this Applebee’s location with a friend and my sister, last week because We LOVE the MURRAY Applebee’s, however our experience was less than satisfactory. We were greeted politely and everything seemed okay at first. When we got our salad plates, mine had a BIG thick black sticky pudding like textured thing on the trim of the plate. I told the waitress she said “huh?? ....you want another one?” n I just didn’t eat it. When our food came out ALL of the plates had food particles on it, and they were SUPER greasy. We complained and the waitresses rolled her eyes and said “I will tell the dishwasher” I asked for a to go box so I could take it to the food to my dog and got a box with salt pepper and greasy finger prints. Again I showed the waitresses she gave me a different to go box and when we got our ticket she had overcharged me by adding a side of rice to my bill. I complained, she took it off and added it to my friends bill. I complained again and asked for the store manager. The manager came I explained ALL we had to go through. He rolled his eyes and said “I Already talked to the dishwasher!” But not once did he apologized for our experience. Took him about 15 min to remove the $1.59 rice charge from my friends ticket and somehow he ended up adding $0.59 on my sisters bill!!!! It was almost ridiculous but we had been waiting for 30 min to fix the bill and we were over it. We handed the waitress our cards to pay for the horrific dinner we just had. And when she brought back my card I said “this is not my card” she rolled her eyes and said nothing walked away with the card and over to another table where a lady apperantly had MY card (one red, one black! Cards looked nothing alike) I heard NO explanation she was gone with my card for almost 20 minutes and finally came and said “here you go!” No apology, no explanation! And to top it off a whole lot of eye rolls! Absolutely the Worst dinner experience...
Read moreWent out for my birthday and enjoyed my meal. They were short on staff so my server was run a little thin. Ordered the new st Patty's day drinks and they were good. Ordered the bone in wings and they were really good. I got the fish and chips and the fish was a little overcooked but was still good. Was pleasantly surprised and left full and happy.
Want to update. Went for my anniversary today. 10/3/24 They had all sorts of specials going on. We got 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and 6 drinks (I got a bucket of Halloween patron drink for $10 and even got to keep the bucket I can't get a well margarita in town for 10) between the two of us for 67 dollars. Left full and happy. I don't get that often when I go out. Staff again was thin. There was one server running everything, host, server, bartender. So service was slow, but she was friendly. So for food and cost A+++++++++ Service B- not at the fault of the server.
Gonna update again..... Went out 10/23.... Mother in law in town .. We got a boneless wings appetizer, 2 mozzarella sticks appetizers, wonton chicken taco appetizer, 3 entrees 1 of them all you can eat boneless wings. 5 alcoholic beverages for 67 dollars. All came out hot and tasting good. (Rice a little on the bland side). I have come here multiple times now in the last year. The food has been good, the drinks have been great. It's sad to see how slow it is when it really is good. Please people, give Applebee's a chance. For the amount of food you get and if your looking to imbibe in a few drinks this is definitely the place to go. My only gripe is I wish they had a...
