I went to get some gift cards for Father's Day gifts. I requested 10, $15 cards. The cashier smacked her lips and grabbed the gift cards and stated she only had 5. To my surprise, I returned with a question and also to confirm before I terminated my sale, You only have 5 cards. She asked me to hold on while she made a call. She called and was advised right next to her register was some gift cards she could reload. Just so happened to be 5, that makes 10. I'm like ok cool let's do this. Then she proceeded to explain to me that she had to reload them manually and it would be a moment. No problem I'll wait. A few minutes later she states she can charge me for the first 5 and the reloaded ones separately. I told her I can wait as I would like to make one transaction with one receipt to expense the purchase. She insisted that she charges me for the first set and can do the others together in a separate transaction. So I obliged. After the transaction I went to wait for the others in which she called me back immediately to say I have to charge for each one separately. I'm like I can just wait... She said I can just do them as I finish them is that ok? In which I replied No! But whatever gets this process done with cause every time she calls me over or had something to say she was rolling her eyes at me or smacking the lips, literally no smile the entire encounter. She presented to be the lead on the shift however her temperament said I need more experience. After all 6 transactions to my card she walked away from me so quickly I couldn't even ask her a question. I had to call her back over to inquire about my membership points. On my last transaction it ask if I was a member which I was. So I wanted to know if my points would come from the cards? She rolled her eyes AGAIN and stated it doesn't work for gift cards and turned and walked away. At this point I'm like this was a very bad idea. I should've spent my money somewhere else. I was being so polite even when I told her no cause I had previously stated exactly what I needed. She could've advised me then... So it wasn't the food or the atmosphere that was displeasing to me, it was the attitude from the lead cashier from the moment I made my request to the moment she completed it. As soon as she heard my request she took the next person order instead before even getting me started despite me being next in line. So I felt her disgust with every encounter. That's the attitude I got in your Palm Desert store of I -10 and Monterey. I will think twice about doing it again just because of the experience. I don't have...
Read moreThis crew lacks any sort of team initiative. Their music was over-the-top loud, leaving the girl behind the counter unable to hear me order. That itself was frustrating, but there’s more. After ordering three sandwiches, I received one. The next sandwich was mistakenly handed to a sandwich thief, who walked out with it without paying. The third one was never made.
As I sat waiting for them to correct my order, they kindly served the entire line before finally making my sandwiches. You’d think they’d at least make an effort to get my sandwiches out to me, but to my dismay, they looked at me like deer in headlights, confused as to why I was upset. The sandwich thief then had his actual sandwich made. Assuming it was mine, I went to claim this deviant’s sandwich, yet they held it hostage because I was not Ryan.
None of them really spoke or gave any kind of customer service. The cherry on top is that my three sandwiches came out completely different than what I ordered. Unorganized chaos unfolds during most visits at this location. They don’t talk. They’re timid. They mess up the order. They don’t take accountability. It’s a mess of a team. The manager would benefit from hiring a new crew.
