Desert Moon Palm Springs — Restaurant in Palm Springs

A very recent addition to downtown Palm Springs restaurants is Blue Moon on Indian Canyon. Chef Edgar Segovia, the chef and owner of this independent establishment, has worked in several local restaurants and country clubs. He has developed an impressive menu of what he calls California fusion with a remarkable variety of items. My first time as a customer, I had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich with the tangy Nashville sauce. It came with a choice of fries, onion rings, or sweet potatoes. The breaded chicken with the tangy sauce was perfect. They even threw in a free mimosa for my enjoyment! The staff is very attentive and nice. Since this restaurant is a short walk from me, I am looking forward to breakfasts and dinners there, too! And when they obtain their liquor license, I will enjoy drinks from the bar. The menu price points are lower than other downtown PS restaurants, and the quality, so far, is what I consider above those other restaurants. Highly recommended -- check it out! Our neighbors recommended and too we overheard customers talking about Desert Moon dining was a very good experience. Well Yes, and it Was! Food was Excellent, Service was Outstanding, and Atmosphere was a wonderful Dining Experience. Extra Clean, Cool Air, Lots of Elbow Room, Fun Windows creating a peak of sunlight. The Staff was very polite, good manners, professional, and created an upscale dining experience. Thank you Rafaél for sharing the menu and being attentive during our experience. We look forward to coming again. My salad was extra Fresh, Cold, and full of Flavor. My fish meal was delicious and a very generous portion. My Sonoma pinot noir was large and had lots of boldness. The desert was a treat. Parking is so easy.

This place is fantastic. We loved all the different dishes. The Osso Bucco was outstanding, the filet was excellent and perfectly cooked, my husband said it was the best steak he’s had in a long time. My Thai curry with seafood was absolutely delicious and the flavors in the dish were remarkable. The wine was very fairly priced, a small selection but great choices. The service was impeccable, Eduardo and Alex were always there when we needed them but left us alone to enjoy the evening. honestly we felt like friends coming for dinner. We were so impressed we asked to meet the chef Giovanni to tell him personally about our wonderful experience. We ended the evening with 2 desserts, crème brûlée and chocolate lava cake and they were both delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
