Great location of course, decent decor/ambiance other than its an extremely loud dining room with weird acoustics that make it sound very noisy.

Service was pretty good, server was trying hard, but definitely seemed overworked, like too many tables and not enough help.

Food was awful. It was busy, about a 30 minute wait for a table for 4, which is no problem, it was a Saturday morning when we went so that wasn't unexpected. We were sat at about 11:50, took around 10-15 minutes before we were greeted by a server - put in our entire order right away as he was obviously very busy and didn't know when we'd see him again. Then it was about 45 minutes before we got our food, or some of it, 3 of us got our meals at once, the last persons food didn't come for another 5-6 minutes and when it did come it was cold, cold eggs, cold sausage, cold french toast - like it was on the pass at the same time as the rest of the food but just didn't get brought out until someone realized the entire order didn't go out with the first person that brought some of it.

My meal was the eggs benedict and it was actually awful, worst benedict I've had anywhere. One of the eggs was completely overcooked - the yolk looked like a hardboiled egg, the other was a little less cooked, but all of it was cold, dry and just didn't taste good. Server was nice and really trying hard, when I showed him the hardboiled egg cook, he offered to have the dish re-made, which I turned down given the long wait time already, but just asked if he could get a couple of over-easy fresh eggs and I'd just toss those onto the ham and English muffins (figuring warm new eggs would help). That took a while, but when they came out and I added them to the dish, took one bite, and crunch crunch crunch - they were filled with broken egg shells. So I'm guessing someone in the kitchen wasn't happy they had to re-cook the eggs or something, as they were literally filled with egg shells. Gross. So I scraped my new eggs off again, and just gagged down the cold ham and english muffins. To his credit the server did remove that dish from our bill, as he should have, as it was really terrible. In the rest of our party we had a breakfast enchiladas - mediocre and greasy, one of the big breakfast combo plates - which he said was decent other than it all being cold, and then a lunch sandwich that was the best dish our group had. Definitely would not go back. Broken Yolk is right next to it, which is a chain they have all over the place in Southern California so I generally avoid it, but would definitely go there instead for breakfast next time over Wilma...

I am giving a low score because the manager, Matt, was rude and insensitive to our situation. On March 25,2024 at 140 pm, we arrived at the restaurant. Me and my husband are 70 years old. Because My husband walks extremely slow due to a bad knee,my husband dropped my off while he parked. I rushed to the restaurant to check in before they close at two pm. I was met by a man , later known as Matt (manager). I asked for a seat for two. Matt told me he cannot seat me until my husband arrive and that they are about to close. I told him my husband was parking the vehicle and will join me soon. Matt said no, both parties have to be present before he can seat me. Knowing my husband is disabled and slow walking, I then asked Matt to seat me for one and that I will order my husbands food when I’m seated . Matt told me ‘that’s not gonna happen’. I said okay but can you tell me your name. That’s when Matt became extremely rude and said he wasn’t giving me his name and that it doesn’t matter. He then walked away and disappeared in the back, leaving me outside the restaurant alone. I walked in the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. The waiters told me the man that walked away was the manager. I then asked for his name and asked to speak with him. At this point, it’s 145 pm and my husband is with me. The waiter told me his name was Matt. However, Matt refused to come out and speak with me. We ordered and ate our food and left before the last customer left . Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the food as much due to this unnecessary incident. Matt needs sensitivity training when dealing with elderly disabled customers.

Follow up. I called the Palm desert location and spoke with management (Nick). He listened to my concerns, allowing me to speak as long as I wanted . lol. He then immediately and sincerely apologized to me on behalf of himself and the owners. He further stated that management nor the owners condone that type of behavior and stated their staff will be trained/informed on understanding the needs and/ or issues elderly customers may have . I really appreciated his sincerity on this matter and can’t wait to return. No problem with the food , it’s always delicious . Nick further invited me and my husband back to either location to show us they are making the appropriate adjustments and to ensure we enjoy our time there. Thank you to the management and owners. We went to the palm desert location and received personalized service from management. We throughly enjoyed the food, service...

Deeply subpar establishment with insane prices that do not match the quality of food you’re getting. My server Israel was great, I need to clarify that because I got a chance to speak with the manager on duty who I believe was named Levi, and I spent our chat expressing my disappointment in the quality of food and misleading menu—all problems relating to the establishment itself and NOT their employees. It seemed like the manager jumped on the tiniest thing that would make the server at fault so I would like to clearly emphasize it’s the establishment and their subpar quality food. Levi also had a very condescending air to him and tried to make me feel dumb for questioning the inconsistency in THEIR menu. I wasn’t born yesterday and wasn’t phased in the least but I still didn’t appreciate the manner in which he handled our visit. Like yea thanks for $10 off our meal but great customer service by management would have went a LOOOOONG way. The short rib scramble was so gross, not fresh at all, the entire plate had a tint of grey to it (my boyfriend and I didn’t finish that plate). The biscuit and gravy was a bit better but you are skimped out on a second side. You’re basically paying $18 for gravy that has no protein in it (even thought it’s advertised as having bacon and sausage). Disappointing experience. I understand that this is a tourist trap, so comes with the territory I guess but just underwhelmed and put off my the managers energy. He could use better hospitality/social skills especially if he’s the one interacting with customers. One star is given just for Israel’s awesome attitude and eagerness to help us after he noticed our disappointment at the end...

An opinion that consistently clocks to me and that I stand on business with is that I love American breakfast. We're BOOMING European breakfasts. It's not even close. Call us fat or whatever excuse you want to make up for your sorry breakfasts. However, if I were to critique the Lionel Messi of breakfasts, I want bacon AND sausage with my two eggs any style. Not Bacon OR sausage. I'm a grown man and I need to meet my protein goals for the day. All this to say, I dropped to my knees in Wilma & Frieda's when I saw the "Sky's the Limit" breakfast in the top right corner of the menu. It consists of 3 eggs any style, bacon AND sausage, hashbrowns, toast, and 1 of their specialty French toasts. The European mind could NEVER comprehend this. Yeah, I already hear the chirps. "Yeah, have fun unclogging those arteries Porky Pig." "No wonder 42% of you are obese." "That much sugar might actually kill me." All fair to be honest, but there are sacrifices in every decision. Just like not wearing deodorant makes you smell HORRENDOUS. The hardest choices require the strongest wills. Shoutout to Wilma & Frieda's for improving on the best breakfast in the world. It's inspirational really. Even if you're the best, you can always get better. The sky is truly the limit. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__
