Sonic Drive-In and Sonic Drive-In Corporate- I just experienced an extremely rude set of employees at your store. A late night food run turned into a session of unethical behavior from both your drive through employees as well as your General Manager who has absolute disregard for common decency let alone common food service norms. A simple conversation about a policy change turned into your drive through employee using the F word 3 times without any coaching or reprimand behind, what she thought, was a sound proof window. Your GM then backed her behavior by refusing to have a conversation with us saying she said we called her a name and that she didn’t hear her use any foul language. I really truly hope someone who deserves to have a quality job replaces both of them. Sara, the drive through employee with a foul mouth, no integrity, and the inability to know her customers could hear her through the window and Karla, the unqualified, under educated in customer service skills, GM, need to be replaced immediately. Sonic, I do not believe they are the image you want to portray; lacking customer service skills and unwilling to listen to feedback regarding the customer experience. You’ve lost loyal customers today. On a positive note- your Assistant Manager, Michelle, was extremely polite-even when put under pressure- and did her best to try and make the experience one worth returning for. She looked visibly appalled at her GM’s behavior. She deserves Karla’s Job! I sincerely hope this feedback helps your company continue to be America’s “Best drive-in” because tonights’ Experience was far from that and has developed this family of 7 to retire as Sonic customers....
Read moreWe came to Palmdale for a graduation ceremony and went through the drive-thru for a milkshake. The read out on the drive thru screen showed a different milkshake than we ordered so my husband told the employee it was incorrect. The employee assured us it would be the correct shake and that the receipt would reflect this. When she handed us the shake and receipt we were again suspicious because the receipt said the same wrong order that the drive thru screen had. My husband asked the worker again if this was the correct shake and she said yes. We trusted her and pulled away but quickly learned it was indeed the wrong shake. We had to get to the graduation ceremony we were in town for so couldn't go back for the correct shake. Then as I started to sip some, I became aware of a HAIR in my mouth. I pulled the hair out and found a hair that was a completely different color and texture than either mine or my husband's. It was so disgusting that I threw the rest of the milkshake away. I emailed Sonic to let them know of the poor experience and was given a generic response so emailed again and was eventually contacted by someone at the Palmdale location who said they would mail a gift card as we live in a different state and won't be back in Palmdale. Read moreTheir telecom does not work. Their drive through takes an hour with out any customer service or attendants helping you. If you drive to the window after waiting the 15 minutes for no one to answer they will not take your order unless the car behind you complains as well. They make you wait even longer for your food for a fast food chain it should not an hour and a half to go through a drive through. There is no accommodations and they barely will take your order. Their manager who came back from some break also does not want to help or figure out what’s wrong with their drive through process. They obviously don’t care about their customers or their customers experience.
There were so many cars in line as well and they told us it was our fault we had to drive to the window. They clearly asked us what we wanted and then proceeded to the window as if we didn’t ask for a minute to look at the menu or say hello 50 times till the cars behind us were screaming at us to move forward. They also won’t take your order at the window even though you waited for ever and it’s clearly your fault. Worst experience. They also offer nothing to make it quicker or something for your time.
