This was my first time visiting Crab N Spice.
After weeks of craving a good seafood boil and being impatient to visit a Boiling Crab, I decided to visit this restaurant.
I came in on a Tuesday afternoon and it was very slow. There were only 2 families in the entire establishment (which is rather small), so I was seated immediately.
My waitress (and to my surprise, the manager as well) was Misty. She promptly attended me and guided me through the menu. Since it was my first time visiting, she recommended "The Captain's Choice" seafood boil. Even tho I love spicy food, I really wanted to test the flavor so I ordered it non spicy.
I must've waited no more than 20 mins to get my order. My food was nice and hot. I had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down. My order contained crab legs, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and a lobster tail. Everything was cooked EXCELLENT. The butter sauce was perfection in terms of Cajun seasoning and spice. The potatoes were thoroughly cooked and soft.
I can honestly say I had an amazing first visit. I was really impressed that the manager Misty was actually out front cleaning tables, serving, and being involved. I would honestly say in order to make the most out of your experience, visit in the middle of the week. Keep in mind, places like these tend to be most busy on weekends, so you can expect longer wait times.
Regardless of when you visit, remember to mind your manners and treat your servers and staff with respect. Mistakes CAN and WILL happen, but being disrespectful to your servers and/or restaurant staff will get you nowhere. A simple, "This isn't up to quality, may I get it replaced?" will go a LONG way.
I definitely recommend this place and will be coming...
Read moreHow do this place have 4.1 stars with all the negative reviews ???? Unfortunately I wasted $115 today. I arrived at this location thinking that I was going to receive delicious clam chowder and a seafood bag full of delicious seafood. What I got was some brown odd tasting clam chowder and one of the lobster tails with the consistency of mashed potatoes. I've never ever saw a lobster tail like that before(maybe it had been steaming all day and was very overcooked). When I arrived home I was very disappointed. I called them and explained what I was experiencing with their food, and I was told I could come in and get a replacement for a lobster tail and a clam chowder soup, which was fine. I gave the young lady my information and she told me I need to come in within a week. I explained to her bec I lived approximately 22 miles away and was not returning today.. She said okay fine . 5 minutes later I received a call saying that I had to come in today to get the lobster tail replaced and another clam chowder soup. I told him forget it. I just won't eat there again. This is the second bad experience I've had at these Palmdale seafood restaurants I am convinced I need to go to Costco and buy my own crab legs, lobster and sausage. Because I swear I'm over these Palmdale restaurants serving BS at these high prices. I would advise anyone with a carryout order to check it out first. . Look at your food!!! Look at your seafood before leaving the area!! You'll end up with brown clam chowder and a mashed potato consistency lobster. Do not...
Read moreI wish that I could give this place a negative. My husband and I visited this place hoping to enjoy the all you can eat seafood. We paid $120.43 UP FRONT as required. Both the food and the service was pathetic! Let's first talk about their rules. There are 2 types of all you can eat. If there is a party of 2 you both have to order the same all you can eat meal. For example if one in the party want all you can eat with the snow crab, you both have to order that. We should have walked out when we were told that! First order did not have all that was ordered. So the waiter apologized and said he was going to get the missing item. That took 15 minutes. Then when it was time to order again it took 40 minutes to get our food and guess what? It was cold as ice. Yes, we timed it because there is a notice on the menu that there is a 90 minute time limit for the all you can eat. When we called the manager to put him on notice of what was happening, he said don't worry about the time. It's like they play delay tactics so you do really get to eat all you can. It appears that they cater to the door dash orders. Never were we asked if everything was okay or if we wanted refills on our drinks. We had to flag several waiters to inquire about the delay. Just awful. We will not patronize this establishment...
