I recently had a disappointing experience at the fairfield hotel in Palmdale ca where I have been a Titanium loyal member for over 7 years. The customer service was truly abysmal, and the host, Julie, seemed to have a problem with people of color. I was shocked and appalled by the treatment other guest and received during my check in.
From the moment I walked in the door, it was clear that something was off. Julie barely acknowledged guest and seemed disinterested in helping . When I asked to speak with a manager about the lack of service, she became defensive and argumentative. It was clear that she had no interest in resolving the situation or providing me with the level of service I had come to expect as a loyal marriot customer.
I couldn't help but notice that we was being treated differently than the other patrons . It seemed as though Julie was intentionally avoiding and making excuses for why she or the hotel couldn't check on my check out time . It was incredibly frustrating and disappointing to be treated in such a manner after years of being a dedicated customer.
I couldn't help but feel as though Julie's behavior was racially motivated. It was clear that she had a problem with people of color and was not interested in providing me with the same level of service that she would offer to other customers. It was a disgraceful display of discrimination and prejudice, and it left a sour taste in my mouth.
In conclusion, I am deeply disappointed by the level of customer service I received at this Hotel. Julie's behavior was unacceptable and uncalled for, and it has truly tainted my perception of the establishment. As a loyal customer for over 7 years, I expected to be treated with respect and courtesy, but instead, I was met with hostility and discrimination. I will not be returning to this establishment and will be sure to share my negative experience with others. It is important for businesses to treat all customers with dignity and respect, regardless of their race or background, and this hotel failed to uphold that standard.
Update I spoke with the manager Jackie and her understanding of marriott policy seems to be just vast bad if not worse then then Julie this place is ridiculous it make no since to spend over 20k a year on the marriott brand of hotels to be treated ...

The breakfast staff greeted us with a warm good morning and promptly refreshed the amenities if needed. The buffet exceeded our expectations, and is extremely clean. Fresh berries, Walnuts, almonds, fresh fruit, Greek yogurt. Sausage, vegan sausage, omelet, breakfast sandwiches, and hard boiled eggs, oatmeal with toppings. A diy waffle maker.. The coffe is rich and perfectly brewed and was also free throughout the day not just for breakfast.

Do also note that this hotel is right next to a freeway with heavy construction nearby so might be best to avoid if you have noise sensitivities and probably not a good idea to bring kids here. Beds are not great, but its nice to be able to walk to the shops nearby.
Front desk staff are unpleasant to interact with, have an attitude problem, everything just feels so disorganized and theyre more interested in hanging out than working. Hospitality is seriously lacking and especially at this price point.
Given the poor treatment here though I won't be back. Marriot should train their staff better instead of letting them do the bare minimum with an attitude problem. I too am not a fan of Julie, as other comments mentioned but it was more than just her being miserable.
