As a professional Chef and restaurant Manager, this store disgraces the meaning of hospitality business. I ordered online for curbside and Express pickup for my mother . I followed all the steps required: park at designated spot, hit the i am here button and wait for the food brought up to you...Guess what, those signs means nothing. I waited for over an hour. Since i didn't have a mask on me, i tried more that several times(8-10) calling the store since i didn't want to get in without a mask.....Guess what??? No response, even if i could see that there was only 2 or 3 guest at the time. Why ask for description of my car and the signs if no one bringing the order out. If it wasn't for a wonderful lady who didn't even know me and provided me with a mask, i wouldn't have been able to go inside. And when i went inside to find out what was the reason, the only reply was pointing at pickup area and that was it....Why advertising curbside when it is not happening, why having a store number when it doesn't get answered???? Btw, it was after 1:30pm and before 6pm. Panera knows what i mean, if you listen to their voicemail before getting to the store. Because of covid19, our hospitality business is extremely in despair and we need to try to save, but this store :13617 South Dixie highway, Miami, fl,33176. YOU, ARE A DISGRACE to the hospitality business. And if you think i just throw being a Chef or restaurant Manager, you can find...
Read moreThis was our first experience inside a Panera and honestly it was quite disheartening. Our order, as per the receipt was placed at 6:00pm, we were given #76 and told by the cashier, from whom we ordered, to simply have a seat, our food would be brought to us shortly. We didn't order anything complicated, 2 Mac&Cheeses Sandwiches and that's it. We waited, we saw everyone that ordered after us receive their meal, eat their meals, get up and leave. We, on the other hand, had not received anything. The older gentleman that was cleaning up noticed that we have been sitting at our table (both 20) for a long time and asked us if everything was ok, 30 minutes of waiting. We explained what we ordered and wondered why it was taking so long. He grabbed the little #76 doohickey from our table top to investigate. The manager magically appeared and apologized quickly. 4 minutes later our food appeared. The food was good, but not close to 40 minutes of waiting good. We were actually disappointed that aside from a verbal apology, nothing else was offered to us for spending about $20 and close to 40 minutes of time for simple Mac and cheese. Being disappointed in the service ruined our impression of the food.
The only guy that deserves a 5 star rating is the gentleman, that was doing the cleaning, who noticed our long wait and took the initiative to get us...

I've eaten at Panera's all over Florida and North Carolina, and they are usually pretty good. Not so here. This was the WORST. The girl taking my order was SO busy talking to everyone but ME that she didn't even understand my order. It came out wrong, and she had the guy redo it (waste of food/money, waste of my time). I was overcharged for the tiny 1/2 sandwich (not a lot, but the charge wasn't what was listed on the menu) and she argued with me about it. Rather than having my head explode, I just left with the food.
I won't go into this Panera again, you don't have to burn me twice. I am pretty easy to please and hardly ever, if ever, give bad reviews - but this was intolerable. When a person is taking your order, they should really pay attention to what you are saying so that they can get the order right; it is rude to chit-chat with the other employees when a customer is trying to order. If any kind of management is reading this, I highly recommend training the employees to listen to what the customer is saying. Doesn't matter to me because I won't be back here.
That being said, food at Panera is usually pretty good - if it comes out correct. It has gotten a little...
